Gill, Johnson spark rally, Dartmouth defeats Harvard 63-50
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) Malik Gill and Taylor Johnson combined for 21 second-half points and led a comeback as Dartmouth rallied to defeat Harvard 63-50 Saturday night, the first time Dartmouth's beaten the Crimson at home since 2008.
Gill, with 11 points, scored a basket, stole the ball and added two free throws as Dartmouth (7-9, 1-1 Ivy League) began to slice into Harvard's 11-point lead midway through the second half. Johnson, who had 10 points, dropped a 3-pointer to put Big Green ahead 41-40 with 8:51 remaining.
Harvard (9-9, 1-1) opened the second half with a 12-0 run, leading 38-27 after back-to-back 3-pointers from Corey Johnson and Corbin Miller. Zena Edosomwan led the Crimson with 18 points, Agunwa Okolie added 13.
Dartmouth outscored Harvard 34-10 over the final 11:40.
Big Green scored 20 points at the foul line, led by Evan Boudreaux with 8 of 10. Boudreaux led with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
