PHILADELPHIA (AP) Christian Sengfelder had 16 points and eight rebounds, Joseph Chartouny made a go-ahead layup with two minutes left and Fordham pulled away down the stretch for a 56-53 victory over La Salle Wednesday night.

La Salle only had 12 points through the first 14-plus minutes of the second half but Cleon Roberts' 3-pointer with 5:12 remaining pulled the Explorers to 46-42. Johnnie Shuler made another 3 to get to 47-45 and Jordan Price sank their third-straight 3 to take a 48-47 lead - its first since 29-28.
