Fairleigh Dickinson tops Mount St. Mary's 80-75 in NEC

TEANECK, N.J. (AP) Earl Potts Jr. scored 20 points with nine rebounds and Fairleigh Dickinson edged Mount St. Mary's 80-75 on Saturday in a Northeast Conference tournament semifinal game.

The Knights (17-14) advance to play the winner of top-seeded Wagner and LIU Brooklyn in the championship game on Tuesday.

A close game throughout, FDU took a one-point lead with 4:33 to go on Potts' 3-pointer. Darnell Edge's triple a minute later made it a six-point contest.

The Mount got it back to two after a pair of free throws by Junior Robinson with 1:25 left, but Potts hit another 3 the next time down and the Knights held on to advance.

Mike Holloway scored 19 points with 17 rebounds - a career high for the freshman - for FDU. Darian Anderson scored 14 points and Stephan Jiggetts added 12.

Mount St. Mary's (14-19) was led by Robinson with 21 points. Chris Wray scored 12 points while Gregory Graves and Charles Glover both finished with 10.
