Blagojevic hits 4 of Hartford's 15 3s in 88-65 win over UMBC

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) George Blagojevic hit four of Hartford's 15 3-pointers and finished with 23 points to help the Hawks beat Maryland-Baltimore County 88-65 Wednesday night.

Pancake Thomas added 20 points - including five 3s - six rebounds and six assists, while Jalen Ross and Evan Cooper scored 14 apiece for Hartford.

The Hawks shot 56.6 percent (30 of 53) from the field, including 60 percent (15 of 25) from behind the arc, and had 23 assists - all season highs. Hartford (8-20, 3-10) had eight steals and committed just seven turnovers.

Blagojevic and Thomas hit back-to-back 3s to push Hartford's lead to 48-38 with 14:48 to play and UMBC (6-22, 2-11 America East Conference) trailed by at least five, and as many as 24, the rest of the way.

Jourdan Grant and Will Darley led the Retrievers with 15 points apiece. Cody Joyce scored 13.
