Bartley IV, Wright lead Louisiana-Lafayette past JMU, 82-70

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Frank Bartley IV hit three 3-pointers and scored 28 points, Jay Wright added a career-high 27 points with six assists and Louisiana-Lafayette cruised to an 82-70 win over James Madison on Wednesday.

Bartley made 10 of 16 from the field and had a career-high five steals, Wright hit 10 of 13 shots and Bryce Washington grabbed 12 rebounds.

Trailing by one, Bartley converted a 4-point play and then took a steal coast-to-coast for a layup before hitting Wright for a layup to put ULL (3-2) in front for good, 21-14, with 10:57 left in the half.

JMU (0-5) trimmed its deficit to one on a layup by Ivan Lukic 3 minutes later before the Ragin' Cajuns took a 39-31 lead into the break. Wright converted a 3-point play that made it 51-39 with 15:48 left and Louisiana led by double figure the rest of the way.

Jackson Kent scored 16 and Yohanny Dalembert added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Dukes.
