Takes two shots in loss Zaha took two shots (one on target) and created a chance in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat against Brighton. He also made two interceptions and won one of one tackles in the match.
Impact Zaha returned to the left wing Wednesday but was still unable to find the net for the first time since November against Brighton.

Takes three shots against Man City Zaha took three shots in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Manchester City.
Impact Zaha has taken five shots across his two games at center forward since returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the entirety of February, but none of those five have been on target.

Aston Villa wins on own goal, Crystal Palace winless in 2023

A first-half own goal has handed Aston Villa a 1-0 victory and kept Crystal Palace winless in 2023 in the English Premier League
MARCH 4, 2023 • Associated Press
Quiet in return Zaha took two shots (both off target), recorded one inaccurate cross and was shown a yellow card in Saturday's 1-0 loss at Aston Villa.
Impact Zaha did not have his best performance after missing the past four matches (hamstring), as he failed to record a shot on target, create a chance or record an accurate cross for just the second time this season. He also recorded just seven total passes, his second fewest this season. To make matters worse, Zaha was shown a yellow card in the 87th minute, his fourth booking of the season. He did play the full 90 minutes which is a positive sign after more than a month off, but it may take a little bit of time for him to get back into form.

Starts Saturday Zaha (hamstring) is starting Saturday against Aston Villa.
Impact The presence of Zaha in the lineup is not surprising after manager Patrick Vieira confirmed the Ivory Coast international would be in the squad earlier this week. Zaha will play for the Eagles for the first time since Jan. 21 and missed four games in a row.

Will be available Saturday Zaha (hamstring) "will be in the squad" for the clash against Aston Villa on Saturday, Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira announced in his Friday press conference.
Impact Zaha has been out since late January with a hamstring injury that has sidelined him for Palace's last four games, but he's been training with the team for two weeks now and is now healthy enough to return Saturday against Villa, according to Vieira, though it's unclear whether he's ready to do so from the start or only from off the bench. Zaha should take over Jean-Philippe Mateta's spot in the attacking line once he's fully fit.
MARCH 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Training ahead of Villa game Zaha (hamstring) was pictured in training Thursday with Crystal Palace heading into Saturday's match against Aston Villa.
Impact Zaha has missed his side's last four Premier League games since suffering a hamstring injury in late January, but he's been training for a week now and might be fit enough to be available for Saturday's clash with Villa. More should be known about his status after Palace does their press conference.

Training, could be option Saturday Zaha (hamstring) returned to training Friday and is considered a late test for Saturday's match against Liverpool, according to manager Patrick Vieira. "Wilfried is getting better....
Impact This update is a bit better than last week when Zaha was given a two-week timeline. Still, one training session the day before a match doesn't mean he'll be in the starting XI. At best, he'll be on the bench and used if actually fit, but it's still likely he won't be an option given the nature of the injury.
FEBRUARY 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Still multiple weeks away Zaha (hamstring) is only training individually and is still a "couple of weeks" away from a full return, according to manager Patrick Vieira.
Impact The news earlier this week of Zaha running on the pitch got a little out of hand and finally Vieira has provided a solid update on the striker. Zaha will likely miss the next two matches with more starts expected for the likes of Odsonne Edouard or Jean-Philippe Mateta, neither of whom has really put their clamps on the job.
FEBRUARY 17, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Training individually Zaha (hamstring) was pictured training individually Wednesday ahead of Saturday's trip to Brentford.
Impact Zaha originally had a multi-week timeline and Saturday's match is almost a full month removed from the initial injury. If he can get back in regular training this week, there's a slight chance he'll be ready Saturday, though given the absence and injury, it probably wouldn't be best to push Zaha back into the XI even if he's played through certain injuries in the past.

Facing 2-3 week absence Zaha (hamstring) could be sidelined for 2-3 weeks after manager Patrick Vieira told reporters Friday, "Obviously his injury will take him a couple of weeks, so we have to do withou...
Impact Zaha was forced off in the 65th minute versus Newcastle on Jan. 21 and will now have to sit on the sideline for a couple of weeks. In his last five contests, the forward recorded six shots (two on target), seven crosses (three accurate) and six chances created. With Zaha on the shelf, Odsonne Edouard could be in line to make his third consecutive start.
FEBRUARY 3, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Exits injured Saturday Zaha was forced off in the 64th minute of Saturday's match against Newcastle with a likely hamstring injury.
Impact Zaha initially tried to continue after initially pulling up, but he only made it a few minutes before being subbed off Saturday. The hope is that it's only a tweak and he can recover over the next two weeks. Palace's next match is Feb. 4 in Manchester and there's plenty of time to recover, as long as he didn't fully pull his hamstring.

Crystal Palace ends Man United's winning run with 1-1 draw

Takes two shots in loss Zaha took two shots (one on target) and made a block in Sunday's 1-0 defeat against Chelsea. He also won one of two tackles in the match.
Impact Palace have now been shut out in four of their last five Premier League games dating back to just before the World Cup, and Zaha has come up empty on the scoresheet despite tallying eight shots (two on target) and six chances created mostly from center forward during that span.
JANUARY 15, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Muted performance in win Zaha made just one shot, which was blocked, in Saturday's 2-0 win over Bournemouth.
Impact Zaha was unusually quiet on Saturday in a game where Palace dominated the attacking football. He did not contribute to any of the six shots-on-target that Palace recorded and his forward partners, Eberechi Eze and Jordan Ayew, both managed to get on the scoresheet. He is prolific attacker having scored six and contributed two assists in 16 appearances. It is likely he will pick up his game in coming weeks to re-find his scoring form.
JANUARY 1, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet in loss versus Fulham Zaha had zero shots and drew three fouls during Monday's 3-0 loss against Fulham.
Impact Zaha had one of his worst performances of the season here, being barely noted despite playing the full 90. After a strong start of campaign, the winger has just two goals and two assists over his last 10 league starts. He'll try to bounce back during Saturday's visit to Bournemouth.
DECEMBER 27, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Three shots in loss Zaha had three shots (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate), and two chances created in Saturday's 1-0 loss against Nottingham Forest.
Impact Zaha had trouble getting a shot on net and failed to help get Crystal Palace a point on Saturday. He leads the team in scoring with six with an average of 2.6 shots per game. The 30-year-old has also provided 22 tackles (14 won) and 15 chances created on the campaign thus far. He will look to add to his scoring tally with a visit from Fulham after the winter break, who have conceded 13 goals in the last seven games.

This is his second goal in four matches with a total of 10 shots (five accurate) in that span. With his sixth goal on the campaign, the 29-year-old is averaging about 2.6 shots per contest while also coming back to help the defense with 22 tackles (14 won) thus far.
