Mexico winger Javier Aquino is out for the friendly against Senegal after picking up a left hamstring complaint over the weekend.
Aquino is expected to remain in Mexico to receive further treatment on the injury instead of featuring in the friendly on Wednesday (live, 8:30p.m. ET, FS1, FOX Sports GO), according to the Mexican federation.

Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio is scheduled to take 21 players to Miami for the date against Senegal after Aquino’s withdrawal from the squad.
Aquino exited in the 77th minute of Tigres UANL’s 3-1 win over Chiapas on Friday after picking up the knock. Medical staffers evaluated Aquino’s injury after the match and rendered him unavailable for the friendly.
The injury prevents Aquino from reinforcing his claims for a place in the Mexico squad to face Canada next month. The former Villarreal winger started in El Tri’s 2-0 victory in Honduras on Nov. 17 and stood to underscore his credentials before for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Osorio plans to use this friendly to assess potential contributors before naming his squad to face the Canadians in home-and-home World Cup qualifiers next month. El Tri travel to Vancouver for the first fixture on March 25 before returning to Estadio Azteca to host the Canadians four days later.
