Extends contract with Portland Bonilla signed a two-year contract extension with the Timbers with the option to further extend for an additional year, the club announced Tuesday.

Impact Bonilla missed the opening game last weekend while he's still sorting out his green card, but the 22-year-old has 33 MLS appearances (18 starts) during his two seasons on Portland's senior team so far, and he will be looking to become a more consistent feature in the back line this campaign.
