JT Marcinkowski - Three saves for loss Marcinkowski made three saves in Sunday's 2-1 defeat versus Portland Timbers.
Impact Marcinkowski faced five shots and stopped three of them during the defeat Saturday. The keeper has struggled of late failing to keep a clean sheet throughout the entirety of July. Marcinkowski has only two clean sheets on the season behind a porous San Jose defense, something unlikely to change during a Saturday clash with Salt Lake.
JULY 24, 2022 ROTOWIRE
Nathan - Five tackles in loss Nathan had five tackles (three won), two clearances, and one interception in Sunday's 2-1 loss against Portland Timbers.
Impact Nathan made five tackles and two clearances in a defensively hectic showing Saturday. The center-back was tasked with shutting down a rampant Portland attack and did well even if his side came away with the loss. Nathan will be right back in the heart of the defense during Saturday's clash with Salt Lake as he looks to build on a disappointing two clean sheets total in 2022.
JULY 24, 2022 ROTOWIRE
Marcos Lopez - Busy defensively Lopez had one shot (one on goal), two crosses (zero accurate), and one chance created in Sunday's 2-1 loss versus Portland Timbers.
Impact Lopez sent in two crosses, but it was his five tackles and four blocks that filled that stat sheet during the loss. The left-back has been inconsistent in 2022, but when he's on and against top opposition he has shown the ability to fill every category. Lopez will hope to keep the good form going against Salt Lake on Saturday where he should have another chance to fill the stat sheet.
JULY 24, 2022 ROTOWIRE
Cristian Espinoza - Busy in loss Espinoza had four shots (three on goal), 14 crosses (four accurate), and nine corners in Sunday's 2-1 defeat versus Portland Timbers.
Impact Espinoza was absolutely unstoppable creatively, sending in 14 crosses while creating two chances and bombing forward for four shots. The right-winger was brilliant in the match putting together some unstoppable volume despite the loss. Espinoza will look to keep this excellent volume going as he continues his march towards career-highs for goals and assists, with five goals already in the 2022 campaign.
JULY 24, 2022 ROTOWIRE
Benjamin Kikanovic - Nets in loss Kikanovic scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 2-1 loss against Portland Timbers.
Impact Kikanovic scored his third goal of the season during Saturday's loss, shooting once in the match. The forward has been inconsistent though he has already matched his 17 appearances from the 2021 season. Kikanovic has been in good form of late, and if he can keep this level going he could be in line for more goal contributions during Saturday's clash with Salt Lake.
JULY 24, 2022 ROTOWIRE
Aljaz Ivacic - Heroic for win Ivacic recorded six saves in Sunday's 2-1 win versus San Jose Earthquakes.
Impact Ivacic was absolutely brilliant during Saturday's win, making six saves on seven shots faced on the road to another win. The keeper now has 12 saves and two goals conceded in his last two matches, making him one of the most in-form keepers in MLS. Ivacic will hope to keep this sort of form going for a Saturday trip to Minnesota.
