Impact Yamal will remain with his home club after signing a contract extension with Barcelona on Tuesday. The 16-year-old signed a three-year extension and will stay with the club until the end of the 2026 season. There was no doubt that the starling was a part of Barcelona's future plans as he was already earning normal minutes at such a young age. So far this season, he has compiled 20 crosses (six accurate), 12 shots (four on target) and five chances created through nine appearances.

Makes La Liga history Lamine Yamal recorded two shots (two on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-0 win over Cadiz.
Impact Yamal made La Liga history by becoming the youngest player ever to start a game in the competition. The 16-year-old made his first start for Barcelona after coming off the bench in their previous match. He nearly recorded his first career goal for the club in the 29th minute, but a brilliant save by Jeremias Ledesma prevented it. It's a promising start for the teenager who recorded two shots on goal, four crosses sent in and one chance created. It is yet to be determined whether he will once again be in the starting lineup when they face Villareal in the next fixture.
