Not ready for debut Wolf (knee) is unavailable for Sunday's match against Stuttgart.
Impact Wolf remains out as he continues to recover from a knee injury which has kept him from debuting this season. The midfielder has been training with the club in recent weeks in hopes of a full return to action.
JANUARY 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Undergoes knee procedure Wolf had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the club announced Tuesday.
Impact At a minimum, Wolf should be expected to be sidelined through the November international break, ruling him out for the club's next four contests. Considering the midfielder has yet to even make the match-day squad this season, his absence should have little impact on the majority of fantasy players.
OCTOBER 17, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Joins team training Wolf (thigh) took part in team training Tuesday, Rheinisch Post reports.
Impact Wolf was only a partial participant in team training, though his recovery is still progressing as expected. The midfielder will be a doubt for Saturday's opening day trip to Augsburg, but could be a bench option then, or potentially for an Aug. 26 clash with Leverkusen.
AUGUST 15, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Training on pitch individually Wolf (thigh) trained individually Tuesday ahead of Friday's DFB Pokal match against TuS Bersenbruck.
Impact Wolf could be forced to sit out Friday as he is still recovering from a thigh injury. He had only started four matches in 18 league appearances last season and will likely keep his limited role heading into the new campaign.
AUGUST 8, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Remains limited Wolf played just nine minutes off the bench during Saturday's 2-0 win over Bochum.
Impact Wolf has seen his role fall to nearly nothing in the closing stages of the Bundesliga with just 15 minutes total in each of his last four appearances. The midfielder also went unused twice in that span, as he continues to struggle for significant playing time.
MAY 9, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Nets off bench Wolf scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Saturday's 4-1 win over Hoffenheim.
Impact Wolf has played a total of 42 minutes off the bench since returning from injury, in that time he has one goal and one assist. It's impossible to trust this production to continue in such a minor depth role, but it does show the upside Wolf offers if he were to return to the starting XI.
JANUARY 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Assists as substitute Wolf had an assist with his lone chance created while taking an off target shot during Sunday's 3-2 loss to Leverkusen.
Impact Wolf entered the match in the 56th minute and set up Lars Stindl in the 82nd minute for Gladbach's first goal. The assist was the first of the season for Wolf as he's played just 85 minutes in five substitute appearances.
JANUARY 22, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Available for friendly Wolf played 45 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's friendly with Bielefeld.
Impact Wolf came off the bench and moved well showing no issues with his shoulder injury. The midfielder has been a depth option even when fully fit, but he could become valuable with Gladbach struggling so heavily in the wide areas during the first half of the Bundesliga.
JANUARY 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Continuing rehab Wolf (shoulder) is continuing rehab on his long-term shoulder injury, Gladbach reported.
Impact Wolf continues to target a return immediately after the World Cup break, and is making his recovery from shoulder surgery. The midfielder is more of a depth option even when fully fit, but with the plethora of issues Gladbach have had, it's possible he could see playing time quickly after returning to the first team.
NOVEMBER 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Out until 2023 Wolf (shoulder) will be out and will undergo shoulder surgery, manager Daniel Farke told Rheinische Post.
Impact Wolf will undergo shoulder surgery after partially tearing cartilage that stabilizes the shoulder. The midfielder had been mostly used in a rotational role before the injury though his absence could cause a serious lack of depth both in midfield and defense until after the World Cup break.
OCTOBER 14, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Not in training Wolf (shoulder) was not training with Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday as he continues to recover from a torn labrum he suffered in September.
Impact Wolf is still out for an unspecified amount of time as he recovers from this shoulder injury, but even when fit he has been limited to just appearances off the bench in the Bundesliga this season.
OCTOBER 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Torn shoulder confirmed Wolf has suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder and is set "for a spell on the sidelines," Borussia Monchengladbach announced Tuesday.
Impact The exact timeframe of Wolf's recovery was not specified, but it's safe to assume he may have to miss at least a few games even once Bundesliga play resumes after the international break. Wolf suffered this injury just a few minutes after subbing into Saturday's victory against RB Leipzig.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Comes off after four minutes Wolf was brought on and subbed off with an injury within five minutes in Saturday's 3-0 victory versus RB Leipzig.
Impact Wolf came on to test his thigh as he continues a return from injury and was brought off holding the same thigh after just four minutes. It's an awful turn for the defender, but the international break gives him two weeks to try and fully recover.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Set to play Wolf appears to be available for Friday's match against Hertha Berlin, according to manager Daniel Farke.
Impact Wolf has been training since the beginning of August following a thigh injury and after missing the first two matches, he could be ready for the third. It will be good to see him get regular minutes for Gladbach after playing in 32 games during the 2020/21 season but spending 2022 on loan at Swansea City.
AUGUST 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
In partial training Wolf (thigh) was able to participate in partial training with Monchengladbach on Wednesday.
Impact Wolf has missed much of his side's preseason due to a thigh injury, but he is making progress with his recovery. He will be doubtful for Saturday's Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim, but should be on track to return to the pitch in full at some point in August.
AUGUST 3, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Has thigh injury Wolf will miss Wednesday's friendly against Waalwijk due to a thigh injury.
Impact Wolf now has two weeks to get ready in time for the season-opener against Hoffenheim after picking up an injury later into preseason. Last season, he did better during a loan to Swansea, logging two goals and three assists in 19 appearances (18 starts). On the back of those efforts, it will be interesting to see what role he holds when available.
JULY 20, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Records 10 tackles Wolf registered 10 tackles (six won), one shot (on target) and 12 passes in Friday's 1-1 draw versus Bayern Munich.
Impact It was a more aggressive look for Wolf who never recorded more than four tackles during a game in all of 2020-21. While his new-found ability may help Gladbach on the pitch, his lack of offensive acumen figures to limit him to a mid-range fantasy option at best.
AUGUST 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Provides assist in win Wolf provided an assist, created four chances and made two tackles (one won) and two intercptions during Saturday's 4-2 win over Werder Bremen.
Impact Wolf had a rare start here and made most of the opportunity creating a season-high four chances, which included a beautiful through pass to Marcus Thuram for his side's second goal. The midfielder has been used mostly off the bench this season, but responded well during his last two starts, with an assist on each of them. He also had three goals over 32 Bundesliga appearances (14 starts).

Joins Gladbach on loan Wolf has joined Monchengladbach on loan for the upcoming season away from RB Leipzig.
Impact Wolf needed a change of scenery after managing just five appearances for Leipzig last season, partly due to breaking his ankle June 2019. He'll hope to find a bigger role at Gladbach for the upcoming campaign.
