Substitute option Saturday Eneli (knee) is on the bench for the weekend match against New York City FC.

Impact Eneli is ready to make his season debut after a long recovery process from surgery to repair a patella condition in his knee. The central man could be expected to make a gradual return and bounce back into a primary role at some point in the final weeks of the season. Meanwhile, he'll provide depth in the midfield roles that are currently taken by Noel Caliskan and Luca Moisa.

Impact Eneli has yet to play in the 2026 MLS campaign and is likely to sit out at least a few more weeks, although the team didn't reveal his exact recovery timeline. The midfielder was rather active as a defensive-minded asset during the previous season, so losing him limits the squad's options for ball recovery and distribution roles. All of Noel Caliskan, Griffin Dillon, Pablo Ruiz and Luca Moisa could split time on the field for as long as Eneli is sidelined.

Won't make opener Eneli (knee) is out for Saturday's match against Vancouver, according to the MLS injury report.

Impact Eneli is not with his team as they start the season due to a knee injury, a major blow for the club. This comes after he started in 19 of his 29 appearances last season, recording one assist in his time on the field. Noel Caliskan, Luca Moisa and Diego Luna are instead likely to lead the midfield week one.

Anchor in midfield Eneli made 29 MLS appearances this season for Real Salt Lake, registering one assist to go with nine shots, 21 chances created and two successful crosses.

Impact Eneli established himself as a reliable midfield presence in 2025, covering a lot of ground and linking defense to attack with simple but effective passing. His underlying numbers in chances created and duels won show how much work he did out of possession while still finding ways to push the ball forward. While he played almost 1,000 minutes less than last season and couldn't find new career highs, mainly due to a foot injury he has been struggling with throughout the season, Eneli has the tools to grow from steady starter into one of the most important two way pieces in Salt Lake's midfield heading into the 2026 season.

Once the midfielder is back fo full form, he will be able to return to his starting defensive midfield position, recording 12 starts in 15 appearances this year.
