Leads Burnley in crosses
McNeil provided six clearances and made five interceptions during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.
Impact
McNeil paced Burnley in crosses in what was a defensive battle from both sides. He does enough across the board to be a viable play in most matchups, including in Tuesday's matchup against Leicester City.

Shines in the rough Sunday
McNeil produced four shots (one on target), created two chances, sent three crosses (one accurate), took two corners and made two tackles (none won) in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal on...
Impact
McNeil offered the only legitimate production for Burnley in the draw Sunday. The midfielder took a team-high four shots and he also managed to set up a few chances as well. Unfortunately, though, his set-piece value continues to shrink due to teammate Ashley Westwood being on set-pieces as well. As long as McNeil continues to take shots though, he will still have a higher ceiling. Over his last five appearances, he is averaging, 1.4 shots, 1.2 created chances, 5.2 crosses, 1.6 corners and 2.4 tackles per 90 minutes in all competitions.

Cleared to practice
McNeil (illness) was back on the training pitch in the lead up to Sunday's matchup with Arsenal. Manager Sean Dyche told reporters, "Dwight has been back with the group," per Alex...
Impact
McNeil has started all 18 matches for the club this season, so he should be considered a lock for the starting XI if given the all-clear. In those previous outings, the midfielder has recorded one assist, 20 shots (seven on target) and 102 crosses (18 accurate). Assuming he's back on the pitch, McNeil should be a top-end fantasy target, especially considering his role on freekicks.

In COVID protocols
McNeil missed Saturday's matchup with Huddersfield after testings positive for COVID-19, per Alex James of LancsLive.
Impact
Considering McNeil has featured in all 18 matches for the club this season, his potential absence versus Leicester City on Saturday would be a significant blow to Burnley's midfield. With a number of players banged up or dealing with COVID-19, the club could be forced to feature both Aaron Lennon and Dale Stephens in the starting XI.

Crosses twice on Sunday
McNeil crossed twice inaccurately and created a chance during Sunday's 3-1 loss to Leeds.
Impact
McNeil was held off the scoresheet in a fairly quiet performance on Sunday. The wide man finished with no shots while his two crosses and one chance created were both the second highest amounts on the team in the loss.

Six crosses in loss
McNeil sent in six crosses (none accurate), during Thursday's 3-1 loss to Manchester United.
Impact
McNeil peppered the penalty area Thursday, though it ended up not coming to much as he failed to get on the scoresheet. The winger is a strong fantasy option based on his volume alone. He has a smash spot Sunday against a scuffling Leeds side that is giving up goals for fun.

Match suspended against Watford
McNeil and Burnley will not play Wednesday after their match was suspended against Watford because of COVID-19 concerns.
Impact
This is a last-minute decision from the Premier League, as lineups were set to come out in about an hour. It's the second postponement of the midweek matches and it seems like more are inevitable. The good news for McNeil is that Watford seem to be the team with COVID-19 concerns.

Nine crosses in draw
McNeil sent in nine crosses (one accurate), creating two chances during Sunday's 0-0 draw with West Ham.
Impact
McNeil did well for fantasy managers, and kept his consistent duty on set-pieces, but failed to break the deadlock. The winger has been the best fantasy option in Burnley this season, but hasn't had the final output needed. He has only a single assist through 16 games, well off pace for his two goals and five assists from 2019/20.

Six crosses in loss
McNeil sent in six crosses (one accurate), as well as making three tackles during Saturday's 1-0 loss to Newcastle.
Impact
McNeil maintained his solid fantasy floor but was held of the scoresheet for the fourth time in a row Saturday. The midfielder is a stable, but not exceptional fantasy option, and is worth rostering in more favorable matches. Next up is a tough match with West Ham, who are fresh off a shock upset of Chelsea.

Impact
McNeil was very productive on both ends of the pitch once again, specially on defense as he had to deal with the dangerous Adama Traore a lot of times. With 16 crosses and 11 tackles over his last three starts, McNeil will try to keep it up during Saturday's visit to Newcastle.

McNeil made an interception and created two chances in Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Manchester City. He also won two of two tackles in the match.
Impact
McNeil was solid on both sides of the ball on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to earn a result against the defending Premier League champions Man City. He should have an easier time next weekend as his side continues its search for a first win of the season against 15th-placed Southampton.

McNeil recorded three shots (three on target), four crosses (two accurate) and one corner versus Everton on Monday.
Impact
McNeil led the team in shots on target but was unable to get one past Everton keeper Jordan Pickford. McNeil saw the bulk of the corners taken by Ashley Westwood but could push for a bigger share of the workload in Saturday's matchup with Arsenal.

Provided five crosses during loss
McNeil took two shots (one on target), provided five shots (one accurate) and made three tackles (won three) during Saturday's 2-0 loss to Liverpool.
Impact
McNeil was Burnley's best player throughout the 90 as he contributed on both sides of the pitch. This should continue as his role on set-pieces makes him a good source of crosses while Burnley's defensive style requires effort behind the ball from the winger. He'll come back into the starting XI for Sunday's match against Leeds United.

Delivers seven crosses in loss
McNeil took two shots on target, created one chance, delivered seven crosses, won one tackle and made one interception in Sunday's 1-0 loss versus Sheffield United.
Impact
McNeil was not able to find the back of the net in the last game of the season but he still managed to rack up offensive stats due to his role on set pieces. It shouldn't be long before he makes the English national team, though two goals, five assists and the fourth-most crosses in the Premier League this season weren't enough this time around. At least from a fantasy perspective, we're nearing the time where McNeil should be able to rank much closer to the league leaders in assists each season, so a greater influence on the scoresheet should bolster his outlook even more. It will also help if there's more consistent production from Chris Wood and the other strikers, though not everything is within the scope of McNeil's control in a small-budget club.
