The 34-year-old was the club's only source of any type of attacking in the match, and did well just to erase the goose egg on the scoreboard by finding Ryan Hollingshead for their only goal of the game. Vela's performances as of lately have been incredible, now notching a goal contribution in four of his last five matches.

Impact Vela scored the opener in Saturday's draw, picking up his second game in a row with a goal. This was his eighth goal of the season and 12th goal contribution in 23 appearances this year. The 34-year-old has been in and out of the starting lineup most of this year and was starting to look like he hit his decline but as of recently he has been brilliant for LAFC. Last game he broke open St. Louis for the first goal before leading the team to a 3-0 victory and Saturday he once again was the lifeline that earned LAFC a point against Minnesota.
