D.C. United's Brendan Hines-Ike out indefinitely with fractured hip socket Steven Birnbaum's ankle injury, suffered Saturday in his season debut, is not believed to be serious.
Out at least six matches Hines-Ike (hip) isn't getting surgery, but he has to miss at least six matches after being placed on the MLS injury list, according to Steven Goff of Washington Post.
Impact Hines-Ike has missed just one match with the injury, so he has five more to go, but it doesn't seem like he'll be healthy even when available to return. At this point, his return is set for Aug. 15, but it could be after that. After a new injury to Steve Birnbaum last match, the D.C. back line is running thin.

Has hip injury Hines-Ike suffered a hip injury and could be out for multiple weeks, according to Steven Goff of the Washington Post.
Impact Hines-Ike has started 11 matches this season but it's unclear how long he'll be out for. With others out for the Gold Cup, Tony Alfaro will likely need to enter the lineup by Saturday's trip to Philadelphia.

Impact Hines-Ike was back Thursday from a one-match absence because of an eye injury. While the clean sheet was nice, his overall numbers are still struggling, mainly because he's committing a ton of fouls as a center-back, taking away any kind of consistent floor.
