Surgery successful Bye has undergone a successful surgery on his knee following a torn ACL, according to his club.
Impact Bye was announced to have a torn ACL around a week ago and has now undergone the knife, receiving a successful surgery. He will now be looking at around an eight-month recovery window, although it will depend on his development. He will likely miss the start of the next season, a rough loss after earning a starting role this campaign.

Suffers apparent torn ACL Bye has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season and part of the 2027 season, according to Adam Susman of the Timber Review.
Impact Bye went down injured in Wednesday's match against San Diego and has received the worst possible news, as the defender has suffered a torn ACL. This is his second torn ACL since the 2023 season and a major blow to a young player who was starting to break out, recording one goal and four assists in 20 appearances this season from his right-back spot. He will now likely be sidelined until the spring of 2027, a major blow for the player's development and the club.

Impact Bye was in negotiations with New England, but evidently the two sides couldn't come to an agreement. The defender is now headed out west to join up with Portland. He should be an immediate contender for starting minutes in Portland, and if nothing else he's an excellent veteran defender.
