Ends season on injury list Bye registered three goal contributions to go with 20 interceptions, 27 tackles and 55 clearances in 19 starts this season.
Impact Bye's season was hindered by a torn ACL that left the player out for the majority of the second half of the season, putting the brakes on what looked to be a career season for the defender. He was on pace to destroy his season-highs for clearances and interceptions while not being too far off to do the same with tackles. His goal contribution count did take a hit due to the injury, only contributing two goals and an assist compared to two goals and seven assists last campaign. The right-back should move back into a starting spot once healthy, however, that might be a while as he is not scheduled to be healthy until May, three months after the season is underway.

Impact Undoubtedly, this is the worst possible outcome for the right-back, who was a regular starter on the right side of New England's defense. The loss of Bye will force DeJuan Jones to shift to the right flank, while Ryan Spaulding is expected to play on the left. Bye ends the 2023 MLS season with two goals, one assist, 77 crosses and 55 clearances across 19 matches, all of them as a starter.
