Has MCL injury
Callens has suffered an MCL injury and there is no timetable for his return, according to commentator Glenn Crooks via manager Nick Cushing.
Impact
Callens suffered a knee injury during Saturday's loss to Columbus and could miss most if not all of the remaining season depending on the prognosis. As a result, look to Maxime Chanot to take his place in central defense.

Back in starting XI
Callens (lower body) is in the starting XI for Sunday's derby against the Red Bulls.
Impact
Callens returns to the starting XI for Sunday's derby after missing the midweek match only a few days ago. He's a nice boost to the side in a big match. Callens doesn't have a clean sheet in his last five starts, though NYC FC secured one at Dallas midweek.

Status unchanged
Callens (lower body) remains questionable in New York City's injury report for Sunday's clash against the Red Bulls.
Impact
Callens missed Wednesday's win over Dallas with a lower body injury, but as that was a short week, it's possible his absence was more precautionary so that he could be available for selection in the New York derby on Sunday. Maxime Chanot and Alfredo Morales lined up in a back-three alongside Thiago Martins in his absence versus Dallas.

Scores in win
Callens scored from his only shot on target in New York City's 1-0 victory over Minnesota United. He also made six clearances, one block, four interceptions and three tackles.
Impact
The defender was one of the best players in the match. He made critical contributions to City's defense through vital interceptions during Minnesota's periods of attacking pressure, and he scored the match winning goal from a well-executed corner-kick-header. He has now scored twice in his last three games. From 13 appearances (all starts) he has scored three goals and delivered eight clean sheets. Callens will be looking to continue his scoring form in New York's next match against the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids have been in mixed form losing three of their last five games.
