Transfers to Girona Callens has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Girona after transferring from NYCFC, the club announced Monday.
Impact Callens scored 12 goals and kept 48 clean sheets across 179 MLS appearances (178 starts) as the key to New York City's defense since 2017, and he won the MLS Cup last season. But the 30-year-old is now following his former and new teammate Valentin Castellanos in making the move to Spain with Girona, where he can challenge David Lopez (hamstring) and Santi Bueno (suspension) for a starting spot in central defense.
