Makes nine clearances in draw Callens made nine clearances, two interceptions and one block while helping his side to keep a clean sheet during Wednesday's scoreless draw against Chicago.
Impact Callens had a huge performance here, leading all players with a season-high nine clearances. He was instrumental for his side to withstand pressure during the latter stages of the game, when they had to play with one man down after Keaton Parks was sent off. With 19 clearances and two clean sheets over his last four starts, the centre back will try to remain productive during Saturday's visit to Toronto.

Keeps clean sheet in win Callens kept a clean sheet with one tackle won and put two shots off target during Wednesday's 1-0 win over Montreal.
Impact Callens has started each of the last two matches since returning from the Copa America and conceded two goals so far. His represent should help things remain steady even without Sean Johnson in goal for a little longer while he's at the Gold Cup, so keep an eye out on how things go from here. Up next is a visit form Orlando City, which have scored 21 goals in 13 matches this season, which is tied for second-best in the Eastern Conference.

Impact Callens will be a massive absence for the NYC FC back line over the next couple weeks, as he's been a rock for them the last few seasons. His absence could mean a return to the starting XI for Anton Tinnerholm, who has lost his set role in the early campaign.

Suffers thigh injury Saturday Callens suffered a thigh injury early in Saturday's match against Toronto FC, leaving in the 13th minute, according to Alonso El Inca of DirecTV Peru.
