Veeti Vaisanen - Earns three points in WHL blowout Vaisanen scored a goal and added two assists in WHL Medicine Hat's 10-2 win over Swift Current on Saturday.
Impact Vaisanen had been limited to three assists over his prior seven games since a two-goal effort Nov. 22. The 19-year-old defenseman is up to 18 points, a plus-6 rating and 48 shots on net through 29 appearances. The Mammoth prospect has shown improvement compared to his 24-point effort in 58 regular-season outings a year ago, which is all that can be asked of a mid-round pick. It'll be a while before he's competing for NHL minutes.

Impact Stenlund has a pair of multi-point efforts over his last five outings, totaling a goal and four assists in that span. The center is up to two goals, seven helpers, 30 shots on net, 22 hits, 24 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 33 appearances. While he remains listed on the fourth line, he's trusted to help protect leads and play a shutdown role, so he'll often see far more ice time than his linemates.

Impact Peterka had the first of the Mammoth's two empty-netters. The winger is continuing to find success in a top-line role -- he's earned four goals and four helpers over seven contests in December. He's behind the pace necessary to match his 68-point total from 2024-25 with the Sabres, but he's been scoring more efficiently and could finish with his first 30-goal campaign if he doesn't fade in that area.
