Impact Vejmelka has won back-to-back starts for the second time this month, and he's won four of his last six outings. The record doesn't tell the whole story, though. The 29-year-old netminder has allowed at least three goals in four straight starts, a span in which he's posted a 3.54 GAA and a subpar .877 save percentage. Vejmelka might remain a valuable source for wins, but his peripheral stats haven't been favorable for fantasy managers who continue to trust him -- even if he's firmly entrenched as the Mammoth's No. 1 goaltender.

Impact Vejmelka will make his fourth straight start for the Mammoth. The 29-year-old has allowed three goals or more in all three prior outings and 10 goals total. Overall, he holds a 13-9-2 record, 2.73 GAA and an .895 save percentage on the season. On the other side is a Penguins team that has lost four games in a row but is still averaging three goals per game over that stretch.

Impact Simashev took a couple of games to get acclimated with the Roadrunners, but he's earned five points over his last three outings. The 20-year-old defenseman's stay in the minors will probably be temporary, but the Mammoth are opting for a more veteran core of blueliners for the time being. Simashev had one helper and a minus-9 rating in his first 24 NHL appearances prior to his demotion, but playing in the AHL looks to be getting his confidence up again.

Ben McCartney - Rattles off five points McCartney scored two goals and added three assists in AHL Tucson's 8-7 overtime loss to Bakersfield on Saturday.
Impact McCartney is heading toward a career year by a wide margin. He's now at 10 goals and 15 helpers through 24 appearances this season, putting him 10 points back of his 2021-22 total. McCartney's a gritty forward who can add a little toughness should he get called up to the Mammoth, though his offense is unlikely to stand out in a bottom-six role with the big club.
