Lawson Crouse - Gathers pair of helpers
Crouse notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Islanders.
Impact
Crouse picked up his first multi-point effort in a month with this one, helping out on the last two goals of Dylan Guenther's hat trick. The 28-year-old Crouse had seven points in 14 outings in December, a final level of offense for a middle-six winger. On the season, he's at nine goals, nine helpers, 66 shots on net, 106 hits, 30 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 31 contests. He's matched his point total from last year but is on pace to fall short of the 40-point mark for the second year in a row.

Barrett Hayton - Pockets pair of helpers
Hayton registered two assists and went plus-3 in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Islanders.
Impact
Hayton was one of six Mammoth skaters to earn multiple points. He set up Dylan Guenther's first two goals of the game. This was Hayton's first multi-point effort all season, and it could spark his offense in the second half. The center has four goals, seven helpers, 60 shots on net, 26 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 36 appearances in a middle-six role. He's shooting just 6.7 percent thus far -- a little positive regression should be in order, though he could also do better than 1.67 shots per game, as he's often been closer to two per contest in recent years.

Mikhail Sergachev - Three points in rout of Isles
Sergachev scored a power-play goal and added two assists, one with the man advantage, in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Islanders.
Impact
The 27-year-old blueliner helped set up Dylan Guenther for the game's opening goal early in the second period, then produced his other two points early in the third as the Mammoth blew the game open. Sergachev shook off a late November slump and got locked in during the month of December, and over his last 15 games he's delivered three goals and 13 points, including two goals and three assists on the power play.

Nick Schmaltz - Three points including game-winner
Schmaltz scored two even-strength goals, one the game-winner, and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 7-2 rout of the Islanders.
Impact
The 29-year-old center gave the Mammoth a 3-1 lead late in the second period, turning an Isles turnover at the Utah blue line into a 2-on-1 break that he cashed in himself. Schmaltz hasn't gone back-to-back games without getting onto the scoresheet in a month, and over the last 14 contests he's racked up four goals and 14 points despite managing only two power-play points, both assists, during that span.

Clayton Keller - Three-point effort in rout
Keller scored a power-play goal and added two assists, one also with the man advantage, in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Islanders.
Impact
All three points came in the third period as Utah pulled away. Keller has three multi-point performances in the last six games, and since the beginning of December, the 27-year-old winger has collected five goals and 15 points in 15 contests, including a goal and five assists on the power play.

ROTOWIRE
Dylan Guenther - First career hat trick Thursday
Guenther scored three goals at even strength and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 7-2 rout of the Islanders.
Impact
It was the 22-year-old winger's first career hat trick as he rang in the new year in impressive fashion, opening the scoring just 36 seconds into the second period before striking twice more as the Mammoth piled on the offense. Guenther also had a hand in a Mikhail Sergachev tally early in the third. Over the last 11 games, Guenther has erupted for 10 goals and 14 points, and his final marker Thursday was his 20th goal of the season, a milestone he reached in only 41 contests.

Karel Vejmelka - Cruises to win in return
Vejmelka turned aside 20 shots in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Islanders.
Impact
After a scoreless first period in which Vejmelka kicked out all 11 shots he faced, the Mammoth took control over the final 40 minutes and made their netminder's job a lot easier. Vejmelka missed the prior two games due to an upper-body injury, but that's been about the only thing to derail him of late -- he's won five of his last six starts, allowing 15 goals on 151 shots (.901 save percentage) over that stretch.
