Mitch Marner - Playmaking maestro at it again Marner delivered two assists in a 4-3 overtime win over New Jersey on Thursday.
Impact He also delivered four hits. Marner's pass to spring William Nylander on a breakaway for the OT winner was classic Mitch -- he wired it from behind his own blue line and threaded it right on Willie's stick at the offensive blue line. Nylander did the rest. Marner has just one goal in his last 10 games, but his 12 helpers have helped lead the way for the Leafs. Overall, he leads the Leafs in scoring with 62 points in 46 games, and he's second in assists in the NHL (48), behind Nathan MacKinnon, who has 55. Marner is a pulling off the season of seasons in his contract year, so ride it and enjoy.

Joseph Woll - First win in three games Woll made 21 saves Thursday in a 4-3 overtime win over New Jersey.
Impact It was his first win in three games, a span in which he hadn't recorded a save percentage (by game) of more than .875. Woll is talented, but the workload in Toronto is heavy without Anthony Stolarz (knee) to provide balance, and it's starting to show in Woll's performance. Stolarz was on the ice Thursday doing some movement exercises, but there's still no timetable for his return. Woll is a solid option in your net, but watch the fatigue factor. He has 23 starts this season and has never had more than 32 starts as a pro. His college career saw him log just 30-37 games per season.

Impact McCabe spent four games on injured reserve after an upper-body injury that occurred in a fight. He made a big impact on the blue line and in fantasy box scores. McCabe has just 13 points, including 12 assists, in 37 games this season. Points aren't really a guarantee with the defender, but those secondary stats of hits and blocks are a valuable fantasy commodity.
