Agrees to two-way deal Blais signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Senators on Wednesday.

Impact Blais had 14 goals, 38 points and 62 PIM in 35 regular-season outings with AHL Laval in 2025-26. He also had three goals and eight points in 21 regular-season appearances between Toronto and Montreal last campaign. Blais doesn't have an easy path to a spot on Ottawa's Opening Night roster, but at the very least, he will get plenty of consideration during training camp.

Impact Blais now has three goals, 14 shots and 18 PIM across four playoff contests. The winger put up 38 points across 35 regular-season games for Laval in 2025-26. Barring injuries to Montreal's forwards, he's likely to stay in the AHL as long as the Rocket are alive in the postseason.

Impact Blais has seven points over his last two games. With this effort, he's up to 13 goals, 23 helpers, 70 shots on net and 60 PIM across 34 AHL outings this season. Blais is a veteran forward option should the Canadiens need to replenish their depth heading into the playoffs.

Impact Blais hasn't been the most consistent forward this season, but his numbers have improved vastly since being acquired from waivers on Nov. 27. Aside from this being his first multi-point game of the season since doing so in an Oct. 29 loss to Columbus, he's also cracked the scoresheet in three of his five outings with Montreal. Seems like all he needed was a change of scenery to turn his season around.

Impact Blais has two points, nine hits and a plus-2 rating over two games since the Canadiens summoned him from AHL Laval. Returning to NHL Blais has been recalled from AHL Laval by the Canadiens, the team announced Sunday.

Impact Blais is back in the NHL for the first time since returning to the Canadiens via waivers from Toronto. The 29-year-old appeared in eight games this season with the Maple Leafs, registering a goal and two assists. Blais will likely draw into the lineup right away given the multitude of injuries to the Montreal forward group.
