Impact It's unclear what happened to Glass, but it's enough to keep him out for the rest of the game. The 25-year-old should be considered questionable to play Friday versus the Capitals. If he can't suit up, the Penguins may recall a forward or dress seven defensemen.

Impact Hayes was likely injured Tuesday in a 4-3 shootout loss to Calgary as he missed practice the following day. The 32-year-old has three goals and an assist in 14 contests this season. He is day-to-day and could return Friday in Washington.

Impact Nedeljkovic is 2-0-1 in his last three starts, allowing five goals on 75 shots. Overall, the 28-year-old is 2-2-2 with a 2.76 GAA and a .900 save percentage. The Hurricanes are third in NHL scoring, averaging 4.09 goals.

Impact Grzelcyk is humming along with five helpers over his last seven contests in a top-four role on the Penguins' blue line. The 30-year-old defenseman is up to seven assists, 18 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, 11 hits and a minus-7 rating over 14 contests, and two of his helpers have come on the power play. He's never reached the 30-point mark in a single season, but he could challenge for that level if he's able to stay healthy in 2024-25, something that has often been a problem for Grzelcyk over his first seven full campaigns.

Noel Acciari - Earns assist in shootout loss Acciari notched an assist, three shots on goal and a game-high four blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Impact Acciari snapped a five-game point drought when he helped out on a Michael Bunting goal in the third period. The 32-year-old Acciari is producing at his usual level in 2024-25, offering plenty of physical play and a little depth scoring. He has four points, 18 shots on net, 40 hits, 21 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 14 contests in a bottom-six role. Injuries limited the forward to seven points in 55 games last year, but he should be back to challenging for the 20-point mark this season.

Jesse Puljujarvi - Notches helper Tuesday Puljujarvi recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Impact Puljujarvi had been scratched in the previous two games, but he replaced Valtteri Puustinen in the lineup in a bottom-six role. Despite seeing a modest 9:49 of ice time, Puljujarvi was able to get on the scoresheet for the first time in his last five outings. The winger has six points, 13 shots on net, 16 hits and a minus-1 rating over 11 appearances, but he's likely to be a rotational depth forward for much of the campaign.

Impact Rust is traveling with the team on its three-game road trip but wasn't in action versus the Islanders on Tuesday. He'll have two more opportunities to suit up as the Pens face the Hurricanes and Capitals on Thursday and Friday, respectively. If Rust does rejoin the lineup, it figures to be in a top-six role and could spur head coach Mike Sullivan into breaking up Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin from the top line.

Impact Hayes started the 2024-25 strong with four points in his first eight games but is currently mired in a six-game pointless streak during which he has recorded a mere three shots. If Hayes does miss any time, Valtteri Puustinen should get back into the lineup unless Bryan Rust (lower body) is cleared to return.

Impact Bunting put the Penguins up 3-1 in the third period by snapping a wrist shot past Ilya Sorokin. Bunting added two PIM, one shot, two hits and a plus-1 rating in 11:29 of ice time. The 29-year-old has had a slow start to the 2024-25 campaign with one goal, one assist and a minus-4 rating through 13 games. The left-shot forward is serving in a third-line capacity while working with the No. 2 power-play unit.

Impact Rakell's pair of assists came in the second period of Tuesday's defeat. The Swedish winger has picked up at least one point in four of his last five games, and he's only been held off the scoresheet five times through 14 games this season. Rakell is thriving in a top-line role and spot on the No. 1 power-play unit -- the 31-year-old is up to six goals, five assists and a plus-5 rating while averaging 17:33 of ice time over 14 appearances.

Sidney Crosby - Buries goal in loss Crosby found the back of the net on five shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Impact Crosby scored the game's first goal at 5:27 of the second period, and it was the left-shot center's third straight game with a marker. In addition, Crosby is on a four-game point streak composed of five goals and three assists. The all-world superstar has torched the Islanders throughout his career -- he's racked up 135 points across 87 games against New York. The Nova Scotia native has produced six goals and nine assists through 14 games, which trails only Evgeni Malkin for the team lead in points (16).

Impact Nedeljkovic allowed two goals at even strength and one on the power play. The Ohio native had a brief two-game win streak snapped Tuesday, but he's posted a respectable 2.76 GAA and .900 save percentage to go along with a 2-2-2 record across six appearances this season. The Penguins play a back-to-back set against the Hurricanes and Capitals on Thursday and Friday, respectively, and Nedeljkovic will almost certainly be between the pipes for one of those matchups.
