Chris Tierney - Notches helper in win Tierney logged an assist in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Tierney, who played his first four NHL campaigns for the Sharks, was able to get on the scoresheet for the first time since Feb. 6. The 29-year-old has just three appearances in February, but he's picked up two points in those games despite seeing limited ice time in a fourth-line role. That's been the story of his season far -- the center is at six points, 16 shots on net, 13 hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 30 appearances.

Jonas Siegenthaler - Deals helper in win Siegenthaler notched an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact The helper was Siegenthaler's first point in five games since he returned from a foot injury. The defenseman has added seven blocked shots while going minus-4 in that span. He's not one to put up much offense, instead offering steady defense most of the time. Siegenthaler has nine points, 48 shots on net, 65 blocked shots, 63 hits and a minus-5 rating through 43 appearances this season.

John Marino - Adds helper in win Marino produced an assist and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Marino had been held without a point over his previous three contests following a one-game absence due to an illness. The 26-year-old defenseman snapped the short slump by helping out on a Dawson Mercer tally in the third period. Marino has reached the 20-point mark for the third time in his five-year career. He's added 49 shots on net, 73 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 58 appearances in a top-four role.

Ondrej Palat - Records helper in win Palat posted an assist, two hits and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Palat set up a Brendan Smith goal in the third period. With eight points over 12 outings in February, Palat has provided solid supplementary offense in a top-six role. The winger is up to 24 points in 49 contests this season, one point better than he had in the same number of games a year ago. He's added 85 shots on net, 68 hits, 31 PIM and a plus-2 rating.

Impact This was Meier's first game back in San Jose since the Sharks traded him away last February. The 27-year-old winger has six points over his last four games and appears to be finding his way on offense after a disappointing first half of the campaign. Meier is up to 26 points, 122 shots on net, 64 hits and a minus-22 rating through 46 outings overall.

Brendan Smith - Lights lamp Tuesday Smith scored a goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Smith contributed a goal in the Devils' four-goal blitz over 5:16 during the third period. The 35-year-old Smith has four points over his last five appearances. He's up to nine points, 40 shots on net, 81 hits, 55 blocked shots, 47 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 41 appearances. He's not guaranteed a spot in the Devils' lineup, but he's played fairly regularly as a bottom-four blueliner this season.

Impact Mercer had one of the Devils' four goals in the third period, snapping a six-game point drought in the process. The 22-year-old is up to 16 goals, 27 points, 101 shots on net and a minus-18 rating through 59 appearances. Mercer has struggled since the Devils got healthy at forward, and his current third-line role with limited power-play time doesn't bode well for him turning things around.

Impact Bratt got the Devils on the board in the second period and set up a Nico Hischier tally in the third. This was Bratt's first multi-point effort since Feb. 8. The winger has two goals and four assists over his last eight appearances while continuing to play a key role in the Devils' offense. Impact Daws allowed the first and last goals in the game, but he received plenty of support from his teammates in between. This was his fifth win in his last eight outings, though he's allowed at least three goals in four of those games. The 23-year-old is at 8-8-0 with a 3.21 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 16 appearances. Daws is likely to continue working as the Devils' No. 1 goalie until either Vitek Vanecek (lower body) returns or the team makes a trade for a more established netminder.
