Shane Bowers - Placed on waivers Sunday Bowers was placed on waivers by the Devils on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Bowers made eight regular-season appearances for the Devils last season and averaged just 9:27 of ice time. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll likely spend most of this year with AHL Utica.

Nico Daws - Loaned to AHL affiliate Daws was reassigned to AHL Utica on Sunday.
Impact Daws posted a 9-11-0 record with a 3.15 GAA and an .894 save percentage in 21 appearances with New Jersey during the 2023-24 regular season. He could be back with the Devils if Jacob Markstrom or Jake Allen suffer injuries in 2024-25.

Paul Cotter - Nets game-winner Saturday Cotter scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.
Impact Cotter has enjoyed a hot start to the season with two goals and an assist over his first two games. The 24-year-old has added four shots on net, three hits and a plus-3 rating. He was occasionally shuffled out of the lineup during his time with the Golden Knights over the last two years, but he looks set to see consistent bottom-six minutes with the Devils. If his offense follows him back stateside, he should be able to surpass the 25-point campaign he produced in 2023-24.

Timo Meier - Scores in Saturday's win Meier scored a goal on a game-high eight shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.
Impact Meier was held off the scoresheet in the season opener, but he was able to chip in with an insurance tally in the second contest. The winger has added 10 shots, three hits and three blocked shots. Meier is firmly in a top-six role and healthy after undergoing shoulder surgery in April, giving him a chance to put together a better season than the 52-point effort he put forth in 2023-24.

Jake Allen - Effective in win in Czechia Allen made 17 saves in a 3-1 win over the Sabres on Saturday in the NHL Global Series Czechia.
Impact Allen wasn't tested much Saturday - the shots were 37-18 in favor of the Devils. But he was strong when he needed to be. Allen has the skills to be a strong and busy back-up behind Jakob Markstrom and a playoff-bound Devils squad. He'll be an effective daily play who gets upward of 30 starts.

Seamus Casey - Best player on ice in Czechia Casey scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres in the NHL Global Series Czechia.
Impact Casey was named the game's top star and earned the NHL/NHLPA player of the game award, presented by Czechia star and former Devil, Patrick Elias. And it was for more than the goal. Casey demonstrated a maturity befitting a dominant veteran of 10 years. His reads were elite, springing Devils forwards on breakouts that others couldn't even see. And his own zone play was quietly efficient. Casey's goal was impressive, too. As he walked in from the left point, he deftly and subtly pulled the puck toward his feet, changing the angle of the shot that went high over Devon Levi's blocker shoulder. Casey will have a hard time keeping his NHL job when Luke Hughes returns, but his future is bright whether it's with Jersey or elsewhere in a trade.
