Nabs power-play assist in win Frost logged a power-play assist and two hits in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
Impact Frost ended a six-game point drought with the secondary helper on Matthew Coronato's second-period tally. The 25-year-old Frost has been limited to four helpers and 20 shots on net over 13 appearances since the 4 Nations Face-Off break. He's currently on the second line in place of Mikael Backlund (upper body), who is considered week-to-week. Frost has 31 points, 118 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 53 hits and a minus-15 rating over 67 contests between the Flames and the Flyers this season.

His third-line role at even strength doesn't bode well for consistent offense outside of power-play situations.

Impact Frost's second game as a Flame was better than his first. He opened the scoring Sunday and continues to see middle-six minutes and power-play time. Frost is now at 12 goals, 26 points, 94 shots on net, 37 hits, 39 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating through 51 appearances between the Flames and the Flyers this season. He had eight points over 14 contests in January prior to the trade, so if he can settle in quickly with his new team, he's worth a look in fantasy.

The 25-year-old has played a middle-six role for the Flyers for much of 2024-25, though his playing style has led to conflict with John Tortorella at times. Calgary bench boss Ryan Huska may provide Frost with a bit more freedom. Frost has 25 points in 49 appearances this season, but he was unable to finish Thursday's contest versus the Islanders due to what's believed to be an injury concern, so it's unclear if he will be able to make his Flames debut right away. Calgary plays Detroit on Saturday in the first half of a back-to-back.
