Arber Xhekaj - On verge of role reduction Xhekaj's point drought reached 15 games in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) returned to action Friday, but Xhekaj stayed in the lineup as a seventh defenseman. Xhekaj saw just 3:52 of ice time, so it's very clear he's at risk of heading to the press box if the Canadiens move back to a six-defensemen lineup. The 24-year-old bring an element of physicality to the lineup, but Jayden Struble and David Savard can also throw the body around, and Guhle's no slouch in that department either. Xhekaj has a career-low six points with 69 shots on net, 176 hits, 62 blocked shots, 118 PIM and a minus-13 rating despite playing in a career-high 69 games in his third NHL campaign.

Seth Jarvis - Plates two helpers in win Jarvis distributed two assists and tallied two shots on goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
Impact Both of Jarvis' helpers were in the second period with the first of his two on a power-play goal netter by Taylor Hall. Overall, the 23-year-old Jarvis has 29 assists, 56 points and 171 shots on net in 65 appearances this season. Jarvis has been extremely consistent offensively down the stretch of the regular season with 10 points in his last 10 games. In this span, Jarvis has three power-play assists with his most recent being his 10th helper with a man advantage. While he will likely finish a few points shy of his career high, Jarvis should pass the 60-point mark for the second time in his four-year career by the end of the regular season. He should be a big factor on fantasy rosters during the postseason.

Josh Anderson - Tallies goal in loss Anderson scored the opening goal in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes.
Impact Anderson found the back of the net just 23 seconds into Friday's contest for the Habs. With the tally, the 30-year-old Anderson is up to 13 goals, 24 points, 150 hits and 97 shots on net in 72 appearances this season. Anderson's offensive output has been steady with points in back-to-back games and four goals throughout March. However, his playmaking numbers have taken a decline with just two assists since the calendar flipped to 2025. Anderson's best value in fantasy is in banger leagues, but there are likely better options available on the waiver wire for the fantasy playoffs.

Andrei Svechnikov - Tallies empty netter in return Svechnikov scored an empty-net goal in Friday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
Impact After missing seven games with an upper-body injury, Svechnikov found the scoresheet with an empty-net goal to seal the win for Carolina. Friday's tally helped the right-winger end a five-game scoreless drought he experienced before the injury. Overall, the 25-year-old Svechnikov has 19 goals, 44 points and 169 shots on net in 64 games this season. While Svechnikov's 2024-25 campaign has been slightly underwhelming offensively, he still has the opportunity to break the 50-point threshold for the fourth consecutive year if he can get hot down the stretch. Svechnikov adds solid value in standard formats for the fantasy postseason.
