Adrian Kempe - Tallies on power play in loss Kempe scored a power-play goal on four shots and added three hits in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Sabres.
Impact Kempe extended his point streak to five games (three goals, two assists). His goal at 7:47 of the second period denied Alex Lyon a shutout, but it was all the Kings could muster. Kempe continues to be a leader on offense with 18 goals, 41 points and 144 shots on net through 52 outings this season, but the Kings' scoring woes have taken a chunk out of his production. He's added 94 hits, 46 PIM and a plus-7 rating from his usual top-line spot.

Kings vs. Flyers Prediction, Odds, Picks - Jan. 31
Darcy Kuemper - Gets little help in loss Kuemper turned aside 28 of 31 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Sabres.
Impact An Adrian Kempe power-play tally in the second period was all the offense the Kings could muster, but they were already in a 3-0 hole at that point. Kuemper is struggling to close out January, going 1-3-3 over his last eight outings with a 3.48 GAA and .864 save percentage, but he isn't getting much help from his teammates either -- Los Angeles has averaged just 2.38 goals in those eight games.

Liam Greentree - Pots pair for Windsor Greentree scored two goals in OHL Windsor's 4-3 win over North Bay on Thursday.
Impact Greentree is rolling with five goals and four assists over his last five games. The winger is up to 22 goals and 43 points in 32 appearances. He's still way behind his pace from his 119-point regular season last year, but he's a big part of the Spitfires' offense.

Alex Tuch has 4th career hat trick in the Sabres' 4-1 victory over the Kings

Alex Tuch had his fourth career hat trick to push his season goals total to 22, leading the surging Buffalo Sabres to a 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night

Darcy Kuemper - Defending cage against Sabres Kuemper will patrol the crease on the road versus Buffalo on Thursday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports.
Impact Kuemper hasn't played since Saturday after Monday's clash with the Blue Jackets was postponed. As such, the veteran backstop comes into this matchup with the Sabres with plenty of rest. That should benefit Kuemper, considering his recent struggles in which he went 1-2-3 with a 3.56 GAA in his last seven outings.

Alex Turcotte - Missing remainder of road trip Turcotte (upper body) has returned to Los Angeles and has been ruled out for the rest of the road trip which concludes Sunday in Carolina, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site r...
Impact Turcotte missed Tuesday's tilt in Detroit with the injury. The 24-year-old has three goals and 12 points with 29 hits and 25 blocked shots over 49 games this season. He could return as early as Wednesday versus Seattle, though the Kings could give him some extra time off as they are off from Feb. 6-24 due to the Olympic break.

Samuel Helenius - Pots goal in win Helenius scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings.
Impact Helenius has a goal and two assists over his last three games. The 23-year-old forward opened the scoring Tuesday exactly halfway through the contest. Helenius is up to two goals, four points, 13 shots on net, 55 hits and 17 PIM over 24 outings. He may be at risk of losing playing time to Kenny Connors, who is expected to debut at some point during the Kings' road trip.

Andrei Kuzmenko - Pots PP goal Tuesday Kuzmenko scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings.
Impact Kuzmenko found the back of the net with his lone shot attempt in this game, and he's shooting over 20 percent in January after tallying four goals on 19 shots across 13 contests. During that 13-game stretch, the 29-year-old has also racked up five assists, nine total points, a plus-2 rating and four blocked shots.
JANUARY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Corey Perry - Keeps point streak alive Perry scored a goal and took two shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings.
Impact Perry missed three games between Jan. 14 and Jan. 17 due to a personal matter, but he's picked things up right where he left them, tallying three points in his last three contests. The veteran forward is not the player he once was, but he remains productive and a steady source of scoring as a top-six forward. Perry has cracked the scoresheet in his last five outings and in nine of the last 10, tallying 11 points (four goals, seven helpers) over that stretch.
JANUARY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Anton Forsberg - Impressive vs. Detroit Forsberg stopped 27 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings.
Impact Forsberg has looked impressive in his last two appearances. He allowed one goal in relief in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Jan. 20 and now allowed just one goal against the Red Wings, earning the win in both contests. He's allowed just two goals on 56 shots faced over that stretch and could continue to see starts here and there. That said, he's not expected to take over the No. 1 role between the pipes from Darcy Kuemper any time soon.

With Carter George enjoying a strong 2025-26, should he be in the conversation for a full-time role in 2026-27? The Los Angeles Kings might not be meeting expectations set before the 2025-26 season, but they are fielding some pretty good goaltending. E...

JANUARY 28 • Associated Press
Vojtech Cihar - Four-point burst in WHL win Cihar scored a goal and added three assists in WHL Kelowna's 5-3 win over Red Deer on Tuesday.
Impact Cihar had gone four games without a point. The 18-year-old winger is up to nine points (one goal, eight assists) over nine WHL outings since joining Kelowna after the World Junior Championship. The Czech forward had four goals and eight assists for his country during its run to the silver medal, earning the tournament's MVP award in the process. Cihar is a promising prospect for the Kings, and it's a good sign that he hasn't struggled much since making the move to North America.
