Tallies goal Saturday Anderson scored a goal, fired two shots on net and had two hits in Saturday's 4-2 win against the Sabres.
Impact Anderson's goal tied the game at two apiece during Saturday's five-goal second period. The 30-year-old winger eclipsed the 10-goal mark on Saturday and raised his point total to 20 tallies overall. Anderson's goal on Saturday was his first since Feb. 22 and fourth since the calendar flipped to 2025. Despite being well behind his career best of 47 points from the 2018-19 season, Anderson matched his point total of 20 from a season ago. He should continue to see middle-six minutes moving forward.

Canadiens win season-high 4th in a row in 4-2 win over Sabres

The Montreal Canadiens extended their winning streak to a season-high four games with a 4-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night
MARCH 2 • Associated Press
Travelling with team Anderson (upper body) will accompany the Canadiens to Buffalo for Saturday's tilt, as reports.
Impact Anderson was injured Tuesday against the Hurricanes but managed to play Thursday at home versus San Jose. Anderson sat out practice Friday and is expected to be in the lineup versus the Sabres. Anderson was held without a point Thursday, giving him just one goal in his last 13 appearances. He has nine goals, 10 assists and 128 hits over 59 games this season.

Will face Sharks Anderson (upper body) will be in the lineup versus San Jose on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Impact Anderson will avoid missing any time after being injured against the Hurricanes on Tuesday. With the 30-year-old winger available, he should be in the mix for a middle-six role, though he has managed just one point in his last 12 outings. Without much offensive production, Anderson isn't offering enough in terms of fantasy numbers this season.
FEBRUARY 27 • ROTOWIRE
Getting evaluated Anderson is being evaluated for an upper-body injury sustained in Tuesday's game versus the Hurricanes, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports.
Impact Per Eric Engels of Sportsnet, Anderson went face first into the boards during the third period. He needed some help to the locker room but was able to skate off on his own. If the 30-year-old winger can't play Thursday versus the Sharks, the Canadiens may need to call up a forward unless Kirby Dach (lower body) or Michael Pezzetta (lower body) get cleared to play.

Buries goal in win Anderson scored a goal, added two PIM, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Impact The goal snapped a 10-game point drought for Anderson. Despite the streaky offense, his usage has remained consistent -- he's been a middle-six option for the Canadiens throughout the campaign. The 30-year-old winger is at nine goals, 19 points, 80 shots on net, 124 hits, 58 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 57 appearances. His shot volume has dropped this season, so while he's on pace for a better campaign than his 20-point effort of 78 contests in 2023-24, a return to his peak as a 20-goal threat is unlikely with his current deployment.

In lineup Saturday Anderson (undisclosed) is set to play Saturday versus New Jersey, according to Jonathan Bernier of Le Journal de Montreal.
Impact Anderson was regarded as a game-time decision, but he didn't end up missing any playing time due to the injury. He has eight goals, 18 points, 54 PIM and 110 hits in 48 outings in 2024-25. Anderson is projected to play on the third line alongside Jake Evans and Joel Armia.
JANUARY 25 • ROTOWIRE
Game-time call Saturday Anderson (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Devils, per Priyanta Emrith of SportsNet.
Impact It's unclear when Anderson suffered the injury, but his status for Saturday's game appears to be in question. The winger has eight goals and 18 points in 48 games this season.
JANUARY 25 • ROTOWIRE
Nabs helper Sunday Anderson registered an assist, two hits and four PIM in Sunday's 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers.
Impact Anderson has logged three points, 10 PIM and 12 hits over his last six contests. The pesky third-line winger has chipped in decent depth offense this season with 18 points over 46 appearances. He also has 60 shots on net, 104 hits, 54 PIM and a minus-7 rating. Anderson won't help in all fantasy formats, but he's a useful depth forward for those managers in need of some grit.
JANUARY 20 • ROTOWIRE
Scores in loss Anderson had a goal on one shot and four hits in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Anderson gathered a loose puck along the boards out near the point, then deked Max Domi before scoring a backhander. The tally came just nine seconds after Patrik Laine's power-play marker and gave Montreal a 3-0 first period lead. The goal was Anderson's second in the last five outings and eighth of the season. The four hits pushed him to 102 for the season, the eighth time in nine NHL seasons he's dished out more than 100 hits. The lone season he didn't reach that mark was 2019, when he was limited to 26 games (68 hits).

Maple Leafs score 7 unanswered goals to erase 3-goal deficit and rout Canadiens 7-3

The Toronto Maple Leafs scored seven unanswered goals to overcome a three-goal first-period deficit for a 7-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens

Logs shortie in win Anderson scored a shorthanded goal on one shot and added a hit in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.
Impact Anderson pounced on a loose puck after Rasmus Sandin fanned on a pass and finished a breakaway with a backhander past Logan Thompson. It's been a minute since Anderson found the back of the net; he snapped a nine-game, 18-shot drought to give Montreal a 2-1 lead in the second period. Anderson has seven tallies and nine assists through 41 outings.
