Yet another clutch goal
Anderson scored a goal Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Lightning in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round.
Impact
Two playoff games. Two playoff goals. Anderson is the epitome of a playoff warrior. His goal put the Habs up 2-1 at 18:36 of the second period. Anderson will be feeling sore Wednesday after being run over by Scott Sabourin late in the third. He was skating backwards in front of the benches when Sabourin hammered him blind from behind. Anderson was down for a few minutes before skating off the ice under his own power. He will have an extra day to work out the kinks -- the Habs and Bolts next face-off on Friday.

Goal and controversial hit in win
Anderson had one goal, four hits and four PIM in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round.
Impact
Anderson also appeared to have a second goal at the mid-point of the second period, but it was overturned after video review determined he hit the puck above the crossbar. He had just 23 points (14 goals) in 72 regular-season games this season, and he was held to just two goals and an assist in his last 21 games. But Anderson is built for playoff hockey. He will have a bullseye on his back for a massive hit on Charle-Edouard D'Astous, who was helped off the ice and didn't return. The call was reviewed, and it was determined that D'Astous was off-balance from a Jake Evans hit and there was no hit to the head.

Ready for playoffs
Anderson (rest) practiced Thursday and is on track to play in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs this weekend, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.
Impact
Anderson sat out the final game of the regular season Tuesday. He finished the season with 14 goals, nine assist, 129 hits and 43 blocked shots over 72 games. He practiced on the fourth line, alongside Phillip Danault and Jake Evans, his likely role in the postseason.

Resting up Tuesday
Anderson is slated to sit out versus Philadelphia on Tuesday, per Patrick Friolet of RDS.
Impact
With just two goals in his last 21 outings, Anderson will miss the 15-goal threshold for the second time in the last six years. The 31-year-old winger hasn't been able to establish a role with the man advantage, which will continue to limit his fantasy upside in the postseason and beyond.

Lights lamp in loss
Anderson scored a goal in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Impact
Anderson ended a nine-game point drought, a span in which he missed three contests. Two absences were for an upper-body injury and the third was due to an illness. The 31-year-old has maintained a bottom-six role for much of the campaign. He has 14 goals, 23 points, 89 shots on net, 128 hits, 43 blocked shots, 78 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 71 appearances. Aside from steady totals in PIM and blocks, Anderson's numbers are mostly down, which reflects his shrinking role as the Canadiens have incorporated younger and more talented forwards into the lineup successfully this year.
