Impact Markstrom has won back-to-back games after allowing eight goals in his return from a lower-body injury against Colorado on Oct. 28. The Swedish netminder has a 4-2-0 record, 3.95 GAA and .871 save percentage across six appearances this season. The Islanders are coming off a 5-0 win over the Rangers on Saturday and rank ninth in the NHL with 3.33 goals per game in 2025-26.

Markstrom has alternated starts with Jake Allen since returning from a lower-body injury in late October, going 2-1-0 in three outings while surrendering 12 goals on 105 shots (.886 save percentage).

Impact Markstrom had a tough first four games of the season, going 2-2-0 with a 5.13 GAA and an .830 save percentage. But the 35-year-old netminder was outstanding Saturday in Los Angeles, stopping 43 shots in a 4-1 victory. The Canadiens are third in NHL scoring, averaging 3.69 goals per game.

The Devils signed the Swedish netminder to a two-year extension on Friday, so they clearly believe he can get back on track and be a part of their success in the near future. Fantasy managers should do the same -- he's an effective starter when he's at his best, though he may have his workload managed to avoid further injuries. Look for Jake Allen to get the nod Sunday in Anaheim.
