Impact Landeskog didn't play at all in 2022-23 after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in October. The 30-year-old forward hasn't been in the lineup for the Avalanche since lifting the Stanley Cup on June 26, 2022. Landeskog produced 30 goals and 59 points in 51 appearances during the 2021-22 campaign.

His absence has left a big hole in the Avalanche's lineup, which will continue to be felt in the playoffs, especially after Landeskog recorded 11 goals and 22 points in 20 contests during the Avalanche's 2022 postseason run. The 30-year-old is signed to an eight-year, $56 million contract that runs through 2028-29.

Impact Landeskog has yet to play this season and while it was thought he could return by mid-January, a return in mid-March or later, is more likely. Landeskog will need a couple of weeks to get in skating shape and then some full practices as well, before he is able to return to the lineup. He had 30 goals and 59 points in 51 games last season.
