Impact Landeskog has been skating over the summer, and while there's no timetable for his return, coach Jared Bednar said there's increasing optimism that the Avalanche captain won't have to go too deep into the 2024-25 campaign before making his season debut. Landeskog hasn't played since June 26, 2022, but before running into injury issues, he was an amazing two-way center. If the 31-year-old can recapture his old form, then Landeskog might produce at roughly a point-per-game pace while serving in a top-six capacity and on the first power-play unit.

Impact Landeskog's recovery is going to be a slow process, which is why the team ruled him out for the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign even prior to his surgery.
