INJURIES

First goalie off Tuesday Gustavsson was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports, indicating he'll be in goal against the Stars for Game 5.
Impact Gustavsson will start the fourth of the Wild's five postseason clashes with Dallas, having posted a 2-1 record, 1.72 GAA and .941 save percentage in his prior three outings. Given veteran Marc-Andre Fleury's disastrous outing in Game 2, it seems unlikely he will replace Gustavsson in goal any time soon, though he is a three-time Stanley Cup champion.

On wrong side of shutout Gustavsson stopped 21 of 24 shots in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Stars in Game 5. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Impact The Wild were on the penalty kill twice in the first period, and the Stars cashed in both times, which was enough to send Gustavsson to his second straight loss. The 24-year-old netminder has allowed nine goals on 125 shots in the series, but he has just a 2-2 record to show for it, with one of his wins coming in overtime. Now that he's lost consecutive games, it creates a question of who will start Game 6 on Friday -- Gustavsson or the veteran Marc-Andre Fleury, who was in net for a 7-3 loss in Game 2.

Gustavsson will likely be back between the pipes for Game 5 after Marc-Andre Fleury struggled in his lone playoff start.

Makes 23 saves in victory Gustavsson turned aside 23 of 24 shots in a 5-1 victory over Dallas in Game 3 on Friday.
Impact Gustavsson has won his first two playoff games this year, stopping 74 of 77 shots in that span. He did surrender a goal to Luke Glendening early in the second period, but that was the only blemish in a commanding Wild victory. Marc-Andre Fleury started in Game 2 but struggled, allowing seven goals on 31 shots, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Gustavsson start again in Game 4 on Sunday.

The Wild went with Marc-Andre Fleury Wednesday and he gave up seven goals on 31 shots in a 7-3 loss. Wins postseason debut Gustavsson stopped 51 of 53 shots in Monday's 3-2 double-overtime win over the Stars.
Impact Gustavsson got to work in a marathon game for his playoff debut. He was excellent, limiting the Stars to a pair of power-play goals 2:05 apart early in the second period. There's been hardly a weak spot in Gustavsson's play -- he went 6-1-4 with a 2.21 GAA and a .933 save percentage over 11 games since the start of March, numbers just about in line with his season as a whole. With a veteran like Marc-Andre Fleury also available, it's possible the Wild opt to alternate goalies during the postseason, though a usage pattern should emerge during the first round.

The 24-year-old backstop has been splitting the workload with veteran Marc-Andre Fleury and may continue to do so even in the postseason, though Gustavsson may have the inside track to start Game 1 given his recent performances.

Narrowly loses to Nashville Gustavsson stopped 27 of 31 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to Nashville on Thursday.
Impact Gustavsson won his previous two games, during which he saved 77 of 82 shots. This was Minnesota's regular-season finale, so he completed the campaign with a 22-9-7 record, 2.10 GAA and .931 save percentage in 39 contests. There's a good chance Gustavsson will begin the playoffs as Minnesota's starting goaltender, but Marc-Andre Fleury is also a viable option.
