Fades late in Monday's loss
Gustavsson turned aside 16 of 21 shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Blues, with St. Louis' final goal getting scored into an empty net.
Impact
The Wild grabbed a 3-1 lead early in the second period, but the game was all Blues the rest of the way. Gustavsson is struggling badly to close out the regular season -- he's given up at least four goals in four straight starts and five of his last six, stumbling to a 2-4-0 record, 4.25 GAA and .836 save percentage over that latter stretch. By contrast, Jesper Wallstedt hasn't given up four goals in an outing since late February, posting a 1.97 GAA and .927 save percentage over his last nine appearances. Minnesota coach John Hynes could have a tough choice to make between the pipes when the playoffs begin.

Between pipes against St. Louis
Gustavsson will start Monday's road game against St. Louis, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Gustavsson has been inconsistent over the past month, going 4-4-0 with a 3.54 GAA and .862 save percentage over his last eight starts. He's made a pair of starts against the Blues this year -- one at home and one on the road -- and he went 1-1-0 with a 1.01 GAA and .959 save percentage across those outings.

Beaten five times Thursday
Gustavsson stopped 15 of 20 shots in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Stars.
Impact
Gustavsson faltered in one of the biggest games of the season for the Wild, as he posted a .750 save percentage and couldn't help Minnesota sustain the 4-3 lead the Wild held into the final period. Gustavsson is ending the regular season on a sour note since he's posted a save percentage under the .850 threshold in four of his last five appearances, going 2-3-0 with a 4.08 GAA in that span. Jesper Wallstedt could be in line for more playing time down the stretch given Gustavsson's recent struggles.

In goal Thursday
Gustavsson will get the starting nod on the road against the Stars on Thursday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Gustavsson has given up four or more goals in three of his last four outings but still managed a 2-2-0 record. In three previous matchups with Dallas, the Swedish netminder is 2-1-0 with a .915 save percentage and 1.99 GAA, ratios he'll need to maintain if the Wild are going to try to push for the No. 2 spot in the Central Division.

Hangs on for win
Gustavsson stopped 18 of 22 shots on net in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Red Wings.
Impact
Despite struggling in the third period, Gustavsson held on for Sunday's win to earn his seventh victory across his last 10 outings. Overall, the 27-year-old netminder is up to a 28-13-6 record, a 2.59 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 48 outings this season. He's been a big factor for the Wild's success this season and should continue to garner the majority of opportunities between the pipes during Minnesota's push for the second seed in the Central Division. Gustavsson holds strong value for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs.

The 27-year-old Gustavsson has a 27-13-6 record this campaign with four shutouts, a 2.56 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 47 appearances. Back in win column Thursday
Gustavsson stopped 30 of 32 shots on net in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Canucks.
Impact
After allowing two goals across a 42-second span in the first period, Gustavsson found his groove in the final two periods to help the Wild punch their ticket to the postseason. With Thursday's win, he's up to a 27-13-6 record, a 2.56 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 47 appearances this season. The 27-year-old netminder has posted similar numbers to his season stats from a year ago. He should see a few more starts in the regular season, giving him a chance to reach the 30-win mark for the second time in his six-year NHL career. Gustavsson remains a good option between the pipes for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs.

Expected starter for Thursday
Gustavsson is set to start at home against Vancouver on Thursday, according to Joe Smith of The Athletic.
Impact
Gustavsson is 26-13-6 with a 2.57 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 46 appearances this season. He has struggled recently, allowing nine goals on 54 shots (.833 save percentage) while losing his past two outings. However, a matchup against the Canucks might be what he needs to rebound. Vancouver is in the NHL basement with a 21-44-8 record, and the Canucks will be playing in the second half of a back-to-back as well as their third road game in four days.

Allows five goals Saturday
Gustavsson stopped 25 of 30 shots on net in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Bruins.
Impact
Gustavsson picked up his second consecutive loss in Saturday;s matchup after he allowed four of the game's first five goals. With the loss, he now holds a 26-13-6 record, a 2.57 GAA and a .909 save percentage across 46 appearances this season. The 27-year-old netminder has performed well above average since the Olympic break with a 2.33 GAA and a .916 save percentage over his last 10 outings. Despite Saturday's early struggles, Gustavsson remains a strong fantasy option between the pipes in nearly all formats moving forward. He should continue to see a solid workload while operating as Minnesota's 1A option alongside rookie Jesper Wallstedt.
