INJURIES

Goes to taxi squad Gustavsson was designated for the taxi squad Sunday.
Impact Gustavsson has been outstanding through his first NHL stint. The 22-year-old has recorded a .946 save percentage and a 2-1-1 record over his first four appearances. With Matt Murray, Anton Forsberg and Marcus Hogberg also healthy, the rotation in net is uncertain moving forward.

Gets little help in loss Gustavsson made 34 saves in a 4-1 loss to Montreal on Thursday.1
Impact The Senators didn't have anything to stop the line of Brendan Gallagher, Phillip Danault and Tomas Tatar, which put up six points on the night. Gustavsson had put up two consecutive wins prior to this loss and had only allowed two goals in those games. Given the revolving door in the Sens' net, Gustavsson is actually a decent option with the right matchup. Go figure.
APRIL 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Taking on Canadiens Gustavsson will guard the home net in Thursday's game versus the Canadiens.
Impact Matt Murray (upper body) has been activated from injured reserve, but Gustavsson will make his third start in four games. The 22-year-old has been fantastic this season, recording a .973 save percentage and a 2-0-1 record across three appearances. The Canadiens enter Thursday's game with three wins over their last seven contests while averaging 2.84 goals.
APRIL 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Bumped up to active roster Gustavsson was promoted to Ottawa's active roster Thursday.
Impact Matt Murray (upper body) has also been activated off injured reserve, so at this point it isn't clear who will start in goal for the Senators on Thursday versus Montreal.
APRIL 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Back to taxi squad Gustavsson was assigned to the Senators' taxi squad Friday.
Impact Gustavsson will likely return to the active roster ahead of Tuesday's clash with the Canadiens. He's gone 2-0-1 while posting a highly impressive 0.86 GAA and .973 save percentage in three NHL appearances this year.
MARCH 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Collects second win Wednesday Gustavsson made 28 saves in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Flames.
Impact The rookie continues to shine in net for the Sens, winning his second straight start. Gustavsson has a 0.86 GAA and .973 save percentage through his first three NHL appearances, and while those ratios will come down eventually, he's making a strong case to remain a significant part of the picture in net for Ottawa even after Matt Murray (upper body) is healthy.

Filip Gustavsson makes 28 saves, Senators sweep Flames

Facing off against Flames Gustavsson will guard the home net in Wednesday's game versus the Flames, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Impact Injuries opened the door for Gustavsson to make his first NHL start, and he capitalized in Monday's win over the Flames, turning aside 35 of 36 shots. The 2016 second-round pick has enjoyed only modest success in the AHL, so those efforts can't be expected on a nightly basis. Nevertheless, he's an intriguing value play for daily fantasy purposes.

Victorious in first NHL start Gustavsson kicked out 35 shots in a 2-1 win over Calgary on Monday.
Impact The 22-year-old was making the first start of his NHL career and nearly pitched a shutout. It wasn't until Johnny Gaudreau scored on a breakaway with just over five minutes remaining in the third period that the Flames were able to solve the rookie netminder. Gustavsson's role going forward will depend largely on the health of veterans Matt Murray (upper body) or Marcus Hogberg (lower body).
