Samuel Honzek - Earns first NHL point Honzek logged an assist in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.
Impact Honzek got a look alongside Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman in this contest amid a line shuffle for the Flames. The 20-year-old Honzek helped out on Backlund's second-period tally, giving the young winger his first NHL point in 12 appearances. He's logged seven of those games this year, racking up 11 shots on net, 14 hits and a minus-3 rating. He's a big winger with a good shot, but he's still adjusting to the NHL level, so don't expect big scoring numbers just yet.

Zayne Parekh - Nabs power-play helper Parekh registered a power-play assist in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.
Impact The helper was Parekh's first point in seven outings this year. The Flames waived Daniil Miromanov, so it looks like Parekh has gained some job security in the lineup despite the team's overall lack of offense. Parekh has added nine shots on net, four blocked shots, two hits and a minus-3 rating so far. Until the Flames start scoring more, fantasy managers in redraft formats can likely find more productive blueliners than the 19-year-old, though his progress should still be monitored.

Nazem Kadri - Lights lamp on power play Kadri scored a power-play goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.
Impact The goal was Kadri's first of the campaign. He's earned four of his five points on the power play. Given the state of the Flames' offense, Kadri has done fairly well for himself so far. He's added 23 shots on net, five hits, three blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-9 rating across nine appearances.

Mikael Backlund - Notches two points in loss Backlund scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.
Impact Backlund earned his first multi-point effort of the season, though this was just the fourth time in nine games the Flames have scored multiple goals. The 36-year-old center remains in a middle-six role, but he may struggle to put up points on a low-scoring team. He's at three points, 17 shots on net, seven hits and a minus-3 rating across nine appearances this year.

Blake Coleman - Puts up two points Coleman scored a goal on three shots, added an assist, logged two hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets.
Impact Coleman and Mikael Backlund set up each other's goals in this contest, but it wasn't enough to get the Flames out of their skid. Through nine contests, Coleman has three goals, one assist, 21 shots, 21 hits, seven blocked shots and a minus-1 rating. His steady two-way play is a positive, but there's not a lot of offense to go around in Calgary, so the 33-year-old is likely best suited for fantasy managers in deeper formats.

Dustin Wolf - Surrenders four goals Wolf stopped 27 of 31 shots in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
Impact Wolf wasn't able to hold the Jets back in a four-goal second period, though two of them came on the power play. He's allowed four or more goals in four of his eight outings this season, leading to a 3.68 GAA and .874 save percentage in addition to a 1-6-1 record. The Flames haven't had many easy matchups so far, but it may be best for fantasy managers to deploy Wolf against weaker teams. One such game could be up next, as the Flames host the low-scoring Rangers on Sunday.
