Impact Gilbert had a career year with seven points in 34 contests, but his playing time was sparse after the All-Star break. The physical defenseman is a pending unrestricted free agent and will likely have to settle for a two-way contract in 2024-25 after playing on a one-way deal the last two seasons.

A.J. Greer - Solid in fourth-line role Greer produced 12 points and 100 hits over 59 contests in 2023-24.
Impact Greer's numbers are right in line with what he did with the Bruins in 2022-23, though he spent far less time in the sin bin. The 27-year-old expressed interest in re-signing with the Flames, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reported Friday, though it's unclear if the interest is mutual. Greer is a low-maintenance player capable of handling a fourth-line role, so Calgary or some other team should be able to get him under contract for 2024-25.

Walker Duehr - Takes step back in 2023-24 Duehr finished 2023-24 with seven points over 40 contests.
Impact Duehr played in a career-high number of games, but his production dropped from 2022-23 (11 points in 27 outings). The path to playing time doesn't get easier as more of the Flames' prospects become NHL ready. The 26-year-old winger has rarely been more than a fourth-liner in his career, and he'll have to compete for that spot in training camp in the fall.

Daniil Miromanov - Puts up assist in win Miromanov notched an assist and went plus-3 in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
Impact Miromanov held his own as a top-four option once he was traded from the Golden Knights to the Flames, earning seven points over 20 contests. He also saw power-play time, where he earned two of his four assists. The 26-year-old defenseman signed a two-year extension with the Flames in March, so it's clear he's part of the team's plans on the blue line for 2024-25 with the aim of being a full-time NHLer.

Martin Pospisil - Provides assist in win Pospisil notched an assist, three shots on goal, three hits and four PIM in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.
Impact Pospisil didn't score a goal over the last nine games of the season, but he added six assists. The 24-year-old concludes his rookie campaign with 24 points, 238 hits, 107 PIM, 117 shots on goal and a plus-14 rating through 63 games. He'll need to improve his technique with his aggressive play to avoid suspensions, but Pospisil could grow into being a hard-nosed power winger in the Flames' middle six.
