Devon Levi - Falls to Islanders Levi turned aside 26 of 29 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Islanders on Saturday.
Impact Levi surrendered two goals on seven shots in the first period. Buffalo clawed back to tie the contest, but Levi was beaten by Casey Cizikas midway through the third frame, which cost Buffalo the game. Levi has now allowed seven goals on 59 shots while losing his first two starts of the campaign.

Casey Mittelstadt - Records two points Saturday Mittelstadt collected a goal and an assist in Buffalo's 3-2 loss to the Islanders on Saturday.
Impact Mittelstadt set career highs last season with 15 goals and 59 points in 82 contests. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 24-year-old record similar offensive numbers this campaign while logging middle-six minutes and getting some power-play ice time.

Impact Greenway scored 4:15 into the second period to cut the Islanders' lead to 2-1. He had six goals and 11 points in 62 contests between Minnesota and Buffalo last season. Greenway should serve primarily as a bottom-six forward in 2023-24.

Impact It was Benson's first two points in his second career game. He logged 15:16 of ice time Saturday after getting 14:27 in his NHL debut Thursday. Benson, who was taken with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, scored 36 goals and 98 points in 60 WHL outings with Winnipeg in 2022-23.

Ilya Sorokin - Holds Sabres to two goals Sorokin turned aside 26 of 28 shots in a 3-2 win over Buffalo on Saturday.
Impact Buffalo ranked third offensively with an average of 3.57 goals per game last year, so holding the Sabres to a pair of goals is not an easy feat. Sorokin did fairly well against the Sabres last year too, though, saving 64 of 69 shots over two contests against them. Overall last season, the 28-year-old goaltender posted a 31-22-7 record, 2.34 GAA and .924 save percentage in 62 contests.
