Drew Helleson - Nets second goal of season Helleson scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.

Impact Helleson has two goals and a helper through seven appearances this season. The defenseman has been steady enough to move up to the top pairing alongside Jackson LaCombe after beginning the season on the third pairing. Helleson has some sneaky offense -- he put up 13 points in 56 regular-season games for the Ducks in 2024-25. This year, he's added 10 shots on net, six blocked shots, five hits and a minus-3 rating, but he should get better over time as he adjusts to a larger role. Helleson is in line for bigger minutes as long as Radko Gudas (lower body) is unavailable.

Sam Colangelo - Scores in busy win Colangelo scored a goal in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.

Impact Colangelo stretched the Ducks' lead to 5-3 in the third period, but they still had to fend off another push from the Bruins after that. To begin 2025-26, Colangelo has been a part-time player, which hasn't afforded him the opportunity to build off a strong final quarter of 2024-25. He's at one goal, two shots, five hits and a plus-1 rating through four appearances. Once Chris Kreider (illness) returns, Colangelo will be competing with Ross Johnston and Nikita Nesterenko for two spots in the lineup.

Cutter Gauthier - Pots another goal Gauthier scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.

Impact Gauthier has two goals and an assist over his last two games, which have seen him skate on the top line at even strength in place of Chris Kreider (illness). The 21-year-old Gauthier is up to five goals, one assist, 32 shots on net, nine hits, six PIM and a plus-2 rating through seven outings. It's still early, but he's on pace to shatter the 20-goal and 45-point totals he posted as a rookie last year -- there's no sophomore slump going on here.

Jacob Trouba - Impressive performance in win Trouba produced a goal, an assist, five blocked shots, three hits, two shots on net and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.

Impact The veteran defenseman came off the blue line to collect a rebound and slip it inside the near post on Joonas Korpisalo late in the second period, giving Trouba his first goal of the season. After being held without a point in his first five games of 2025-26, Trouba has broken out with four points and a plus-7 rating in the last two contests.

Troy Terry - Two points including winner Terry scored the game-winning goal at even strength and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.

Impact Both points came in a wild third period that saw the two teams combine for six total goals, with Terry's tally with less than five minutes left in regulation giving the Ducks a 6-5 win. Anaheim's third line of Terry, Mikael Granlund and Nikita Nesterenko erupted for three goals and 11 points between them, but Terry's primary fantasy appeal comes from his spot on the first power-play unit. The 28-year-old winger has two goals and seven points through seven games to begin the season, with four of his five helpers coming on the power play.

Nikita Nesterenko - Four helpers in Boston Nesterenko notched four assists while adding two shots on net, a blocked shot, a hit and a plus-4 rating in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.

Impact It was a career-best performance for the 24-year-old, who came into Thursday's contest with just six goals and eight points in his prior 36 NHL games dating back to 2022-23 -- including goose eggs in his first four games this season. Nesterenko has flashed some offensive upside in college and the minors however, including 13 goals and 34 points in 50 games for AHL San Diego last season, so the outburst isn't a complete shock. If he sticks in Anaheim's middle six and sees consistent time with centers like Mikael Granlund (two goals and five points Thursday), Nesterenko could put together a surprisingly productive campaign.

Impact The veteran center added five shots on net, a blocked shot and a plus-4 rating to his ledger. The five points were a career high for Granlund, who came into the contest having been held off the scoresheet in his prior three games. The 33-year-old has topped 60 points in three of the last four seasons while bouncing between Nashville, Pittsburgh, San Jose and Dallas, and he's well on his way to reaching that mark again in his first campaign with Anaheim, collecting two goals and eight points through seven games.

Impact The Ducks got out-shot 41-30 on the night, with Mrazek facing 19 shots on net in the first period alone, but the veteran netminder kept things close until his team could finally take the lead for good late in the third. Lukas Dostal has dominated the work in the crease for Anaheim to begin the season, but Mrazek has benefitted from some impressive offensive support in his two starts, winning both of them despite allowing 11 total goals on 64 shots (.828 save percentage). With the Ducks having Ville Husso stashed at AHL San Diego though, Mrazek may need to start posting better numbers if he wants to keep his spot on the NHL roster.
