Dak Prescott - Dealing with strained calf Coach Mike McCarthy relayed Monday that Prescott's MRI confirmed that the QB has a strained right calf, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Impact The plan is for Prescott to rest and rehab during Dallas' upcoming bye week and then be evaluated next Monday, per David Helman of the Cowboys' official site. Meanwhile, both Hill and Helman note that the team is optimistic that the signal-caller will be available for Dallas' Oct. 31 road game versus Minnesota.

Impact Collins recently had his appeal denied and completed the five-game ban for violating the league's policy on substances of abuse, and he's now been reinstated. The Cowboys can utilize a roster exemption so he doesn't immediately have to rejoin the active roster, per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News. Dallas has a bye in Week 7, so Collins will have a full week off to get back up to speed before retaking his starting post at right tackle.
