Impact It's still not clear whether or not Van Ginkel will need to undergo surgery to address his foot injury. With Jaelan Phillips (Achilles) and Bradley Chubb (knee) both also out for the rest of the year, Melvin Ingram is the next man up on the edge for the Dolphins.

Raheem Mostert - Optimism for chances to play Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that he's optimistic Mostert (knee/ankle) will be able to play in Saturday's playoff game against the Chiefs, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Impact McDaniel said Mostert and Jaylen Waddle (ankle) both pushed to play against the Bills in Week 18, but the doctors advised against it, saying both players could do more damage. It sounds like a week off is what Mostert and Waddle needed. With all of the injuries on the defensive side of the ball for Miami, it needs all the help it can get on offense. Should Mostert play, he and De'Von Achane should carry the bulk of the load out of the backfield, with Jeff Wilson in tow as a third ball-carrying option.

Gabe Davis - Diagnosed with sprained PCL Davis (knee) has been diagnosed with a sprained PCL, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact The injury is not considered major, Rapoport adds, stating his status for the wild-card playoff game against the Steelers is to be determined. Davis exited in the first half against the Dolphins Sunday night and was ruled out at halftime, returning to the sideline in street clothes to watch the rest of the game. Khalil Shakir and Trent Sherfield took on larger offensive roles in Davis' absence and would do so again if Davis sits versus Pittsburgh.
