Rachaad White - Seven touches in return White (shoulder) rushed seven times for 18 yards while catching his only target for two yards in Sunday's 27-27 tie against the Giants.

Impact White recorded 20 scrimmage yards on seven touches in his return from a one-game absence due to a shoulder injury. Jacory Croskey-Merritt led Washington's running backs with 11 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown, while White and Austin Ekeler each drew one target out of the backfield. Ekeler's return to Washington could prove problematic for White, as the two veteran running backs could split passing-down work while Croskey-Merritt continues to get most of the carries. White could benefit from a more pass-heavy game script if the Commanders fall behind against the 5-0 49ers in Week 6.

Impact McLaurin led the Commanders in receiving yards in his return from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury, while it was fellow veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs' turn to sit out with an injured hamstring. McLaurin's two-point conversion put the Commanders up 27-13 with 11:05 remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Giants scored 14 unanswered points to close out regulation and neither team got on the board in a back-and-forth overtime session that included a missed field goal and fumble from New York and clock mismanagement down the stretch from Washington. Next up for McLaurin and the Commanders is a Week 6 road game against the 49ers on Monday Night Football.

Impact Croskey-Merritt had a 33-yard touchdown run on his first carry just two minutes into the game and ultimately set a new season high in rushing yards despite tying for his fewest touches of the season with just 11. Rachaad White and Austin Ekeler combined for 10 carries and two targets, while Jayden Daniels led Washington's ground game with 103 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on nine attempts. Given Croskey-Merritt's lack of involvement in the passing game, he may not get many opportunities if the Commanders fall behind as expected when they visit the undefeated 49ers in Week 6.

The Giants proceeded to erase that deficit and force OT, where Daniels drove the Commanders down to the Giants' 24-yard line with 55 seconds remaining, but Washington remarkably failed to get a game-winning field-goal attempt off, as the Commanders ran the clock down and then failed to stop the clock when Daniels went down inbounds on their final offensive play.
