Impact Dean enjoyed a solid game out of his left cornerback spot, helping limit Commanders receivers to just seven total receptions for 55 yards. The veteran failed to record an interception for the first time in his career last season, but he also posted the second-highest tackle total (61) of his first five seasons.

However, he can still be considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Lions and will try to return to the practice field Thursday or Friday.

Impact McCollum exited Sunday's win over the Buccaneers with a concussion, putting him into the league's five-step concussion protocols. His ability to be on the field Wednesday shows he's making progress in his recovery, but the limited participation suggests he's not fully through the league's protocols and should be considered questionable for Week 2 against the Lions.

Impact Kieft wasn't even deployed as a blocker as much as he typically was in former coordinator Dave Canales' offense, with all but two of his 18 total snaps Sunday coming on special teams. Even if he does end up seeing an uptick in playing time on offense in coming weeks, Kieft is expected to remain a distant third pass-catching option at tight end behind Cade Otton and Payne Durham.

Payne Durham - Blanked on 17 snaps in win Durham did not draw a target in the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

Impact Durham saw a modest 17 snaps from scrimmage and wasn't afforded any opportunities to touch the ball. However, it was a down game for the Buccaneers' tight ends in general, as Cade Otton saw only two targets in his own right despite playing 52 snaps. Given new offensive coordinator Liam Coen's scheme is expected to frequently deploy tight ends as pass-catching options, Week 1 might ultimately prove to be an outlier. However, Otton is the clear top target at the position, meaning Durham will still be difficult to trust on a game-to-game basis even when he does start getting more involved.

Impact McLaughlin had a somewhat rocky preseason, but when the proverbial lights came on in Week 1, the veteran kicker was as good as he looked during a career-best 2023 season. McLaughlin kicked all his field goals in the first half, starting with the 56-yarder that capped off Tampa Bay's first possession. McLaughlin was an elite 7-for-8 from 50+ yards a season ago, and his perfect start Sunday combined with the efficiency demonstrated by Baker Mayfield and the offense appears to bode well for the veteran kicker's chances of replicating his success this season.

Impact Most of the Buccaneers' incumbent skill-position assets enjoyed productive days in their first game operating in new coordinator Liam Coen's offense, but Otton was a notable exception. The third-year tight end's modest target count over 52 snaps from scrimmage was particularly disappointing, but given Coen's typically heavy use of two-tight-end sets, Otton's downturn could quickly end in a Week 2 road showdown against the Lions.

Impact Palmer, who cleared concussion protocol before the game, logged a modest 20 snaps from scrimmage and 10 additional on special teams. Palmer's one reception proved productive, but he notably was in on 30 fewer offensive plays than new No. 3 wideout Jalen McMillan. Palmer figures to continue in a modest role during a Week 4 road battle against the Lions on Sunday.

Jalen McMillan - Maximizes one reception McMillan brought in his only reception on three targets for a 32-yard touchdown in the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

Impact The rookie paid immediate dividends in his first game as a pro, and his day would have been even bigger had he and Baker Mayfield connected on a deep shot down the right side early in the first quarter. However, the duo made up for the misfire on the first play of the fourth quarter for McMillan's one and only reception of the lopsided win. McMillan did play a robust 50 snaps from scrimmage while last season's No. 3 wideout, Trey Palmer was limited to 20, seemingly establishing the former as the clear top option behind starters Mike Evans and Chris Godwin heading into a Week 2 road showdown against the Lions.

Sean Tucker - No offensive touches in Week 1 win Tucker did not log any touches from scrimmage in the Buccaneers' 37-20 win over the Commanders on Sunday, but he returned one kickoff for 22 yards.

Impact The Buccaneers' No. 3 running back was limited to two snaps from scrimmage and eight on special teams in the comfortable victory. Top two running backs Rachaad White and Bucky Irving monopolized the backfield opportunities in the victory, and that could well continue to be the case as long as the talented duo is healthy. Tucker's returner role could offer some value in deep leagues that factor in related statistics, however.
