GAME LOG

INJURIES

Limited to four snaps again Miller did not log any targets across four targets in the Buccaneers' 30-17 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact Miller once again saw a minimal role on offense in his second game back from injured reserve and was the No. 5 receiver in terms of playing time. The speedster's outlook doesn't figure to brighten much for the foreseeable future, despite Antonio Brown (suspension/ankle) set to miss at least the next two games.
DECEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Four offensive snaps in return Miller (toe) failed to bring in his only target during Sunday's 38-31 win over the Colts, a game that marked his return from injured reserve.
Impact The speedster was eased back into action with four snaps from scrimmage and another four on special teams. Miller should be primed to see an uptick in playing time in coming games, although once Antonio Brown (ankle) returns to action, the Bowling Green product will likely have an unpredictable week-to-week target share.
NOVEMBER 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
May be active this week Coach Bruce Arians said Friday that he'll wait until Sunday to decide if Miller is active for a 1:00 p.m. ET matchup with the Colts, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Miller was activated from IR on Tuesday, potentially setting up his first appearance since Week 3. He might even be the Bucs' No. 3 receiver -- or at least get some of those snaps -- with Antonio Brown (ankle) out for a fifth straight game and Tyler Johnson averaging 26.5 YPG in his absence.
NOVEMBER 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Back from IR Miller (toe) was reinstated from injured reserve Tuesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Miller wasn't able to make enough progress in his recovery from a turf toe injury to suit up in an eventual 30-10 win over the Giants on Monday, but the speedy wideout looks like he'll be ready to put an end to his seven-game absence this weekend in Indianapolis. With the status of Antonio Brown (ankle) still in flux heading into the Week 12 matchup, Miller could challenge Tyler Johnson for the No. 3 receiver role behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. In his three appearances before landing on IR, Miller cobbled together a 2-11-0 receiving line on three targets across 51 offensive snaps.
NOVEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not back for Week 11 Miller (toe) wasn't activated off injured reserve ahead of Monday's game against the Giants, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Miller was designated to return from injured reserve in early November, and time is running out for him to be reinstated to the active roster. The 24-year-old will need to be activated later this week, or he'll remain on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
NOVEMBER 22, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Won't return in Week 10 Miller (toe) won't be activated from injured reserve prior to Sunday's game against Washington, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Coach Bruce Arians recently expressed optimism that Miller would be able to suit up against Washington, but the receiver will miss at least one more game due to turf toe. He resumed practicing Nov. 2, so it appears somewhat likely that he'll return to game action for the team's Week 11 matchup against the Giants on Nov. 22.
NOVEMBER 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Chance for Week 10 return Coach Bruce Arians said Friday that Miller (toe) has a chance to suit up for Sunday's game against Washington, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Miller has been held out of action since Week 3 due to a turf toe injury, but he was cleared to resume practicing Nov. 2. With Chris Godwin (foot) considered a game-time decision and Antonio Brown (ankle) still looking uncertain, Miller could have a chance to immediately step into a key role on offense if he's able to retake the field Sunday.
NOVEMBER 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Clear for practice The Buccaneers designated Miller (toe) for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Impact Miller has been sidelined since Week 3 due to a turf toe injury, but with his 21-day window open to return to the active roster there's a chance he'll be back following Tampa Bay's Week 9 bye. Elsewhere in the receiving corps, Antonio Brown is dealing with a sprain near his heel and has missed three of eight games so far this season. While Brown also may return after the bye, Miller still could have a role on offense behind starters Mike Evans and Chris Godwin upon being active again.
NOVEMBER 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Running on the side Miller (toe) was spotted running off to the side at Wednesday's practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Miller has missed four straight games due to a turf toe injury, and though the Buccaneers haven't yet officially designated him for return from IR, it's encouraging to see the 24-year-old resume running again. As soon as he's back to full health Miller will be eligible to return to the active roster, but coach Bruce Arians also has yet to offer a substantial update on his recovery progress. Meanwhile, Antonio Brown (ankle) remains absent from practice and is walking with the assistance of a single crutch.
OCTOBER 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Heads to IR The Buccaneers placed Miller (toe) on injured reserve Wednesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Impact Miller's move to IR means he'll be sidelined for at least three weeks after he was diagnosed with turf toe following Sunday's loss to the Rams. After filling a depth role for the Bucs' first two games of the season, Miller occupied a regular spot in three-receiver sets Week 3 as a replacement for Antonio Brown (illness), who wasn't available after testing positive for COVID-19. Brown has not yet been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, but because he's believed to be previously vaccinated, he should have a decent chance at making it back for Sunday's game at New England.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Set to miss time The Buccaneers may place Miller on injured reserve due to a turf toe injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact With Antonio Brown (illness) and Jaydon Mickens (abdomen) sidelined Sunday against the Rams, Miller was poised for an expanded workload, which came to pass. After combining for 20 snaps on offense in the first two games of the season, Miller bumped up to 32 (of 73) in Week 3, resulting in two catches (on three targets) for 11 yards. Now that Miller is set to miss multiple games, Tyler Johnson could receive more run in the short term depending on how soon Brown can get through COVID-19 protocols.
SEPTEMBER 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with turf toe Coach Bruce Arians said Monday that Miller is dealing with a pretty severe case of turf toe, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Miller caught two of his three targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 34-24 loss to the Rams. The 24-year-old was expected to play a bigger role in Week 3 with Antonio Brown on the COVID-19 list, and while he did see an uptick in snaps, Miller's production left fantasy owners wanting more. Brown is likely to return this week, so Miller may be relegated to his bench role even if he is able to shake his turf toe ahead of Week 4.

Tom Brady on record pace in Tampa Bay Bucs' high-flying offense

Tom Brady on record pace in Tampa Bay Bucs' high-flying offense
Expanded Week 3 role likely Miller, who did not draw a target over 12 snaps from scrimmage in a Week 2 win over the Falcons, could be set for a bigger role in Week 3 against the Rams after Antonio Brown was p...
Impact There remains an outside chance that Brown is able to still take the field Sunday; the veteran is believed to be vaccinated and therefore will only need to produce two negative COVID-19 tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared. Absent that development, however, Miller would likely bump up to Brown's No. 3 role, with Tyler Johnson serving as the No. 4 option or perhaps even rotating in with Miller on occasion. Miller has yet to draw a target through two games, playing a total of 20 snaps from scrimmage over that span.
SEPTEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
No stats in opener Miller played just eight snaps on offense and did not see a target during the Buccaneers' 31-29 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.
Impact Targets were expected to be scarce for any receivers not named Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Antonio Brown, and that proved true in Week 1. The speedy Miller will almost assuredly be looked for on some deep routes as the season unfolds, but as long as the top trio is healthy, the Bowling Green product's week-to-week production will be inconsistent at best.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Not on injury report Miller (elbow) wasn't listed on Monday's injury report.
Impact Miller emerged from preseason Week 3 with a minor tweak of his elbow, but fortunately for the third-year wide receiver he's not considered among the Buccaneers' few injury concerns heading into the season opener Thursday versus the Cowboys. With Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown embedded as the team's top three WRs, though, Miller will be vying with Tyler Johnson and perhaps rookie Jaelon Darden for the few targets that linger from Tom Brady.

Minor elbow tweak Saturday Miller, who failed to bring in his only target in the Buccaneers' 23-16 preseason win over the Texans on Saturday night, also suffered a minor injury to his elbow, Jenna Laine of E...
Impact Miller ended up with another empty stat line Saturday to wrap up preseason, but his elbow issue played a part by briefly knocking him out of the contest. While it doesn't seem like the injury is anything other than minor considering the third-year wideout returned to the game, a healthy Miller still is facing the very real possibility of losing snaps and targets this season to Tyler Johnson and even rookie Jaelon Darden if he doesn't perform any better than he showed this preseason. Miller's first opportunity to reverse this summer's downward trend comes in the Week 1 showdown against the Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 9.
AUGUST 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Does nothing with two grabs Miller secured two of three targets for minus-1 yard in the Buccaneers' 34-3 preseason loss to the Titans on Saturday night.
Impact The third-year speedster has had a solid camp by all accounts, but he was a non-factor Saturday night while catching his two passes from Ryan Griffin. Miller seems to have a fairly secure grip on a roster spot, but he could certainly lose snaps to both Tyler Johnson and rookie Jaelon Darden behind the top trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown as the season progresses.

Quiet in Super Bowl win Miller rushed once for minus-3 yards and did not draw a target during the Buccaneers' 31-9 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
Impact The speedy wideout logged 12 snaps from scrimmage, but he was somewhat surprisingly uninvolved in the air attack. However, Miller made a solid Year 2 leap during the regular season in the form of a 33-501-3 line over 480 offensive plays, and he followed it up with four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown over the Buccaneers' first three postseason games. Looking ahead to 2021, Miller could be poised for a full-time No. 3 role at minimum, considering both Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown are ticketed for free agency.
FEBRUARY 8, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Notches key score in big win Miller brought in two of three targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 31-26 win over the Packers in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Impact The speedster was expected to fill an elevated role to a degree in the absence of Antonio Brown (knee), and Miller looked very much like his injured teammate during his Steelers heyday on a 39-yard scoring grab off a go route late in the first half. Miller made chunk plays his signature throughout his second season, with seven of his 33 catches going for more than 20 yards and his one reception during a divisional-round victory against the Saints resulting in a 29-yard gain. Despite Sunday's heroics, Miller could well be back to his No. 4 wideout role in Super Bowl LV if Brown is able to return for that Feb. 7 contest.

Chance for expanded role Miller is one of the Buccaneers' secondary receivers that stands to benefit from the absence of Antonio Brown (knee) for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Packers, Jenna L...
Impact Miller took a big step forward in his second season, posting a 33-501-3 line (53 targets) across 16 games, with seven of his receptions going for more than 20 yards. Miller logged just eight snaps from scrimmage against the Saints in Sunday's divisional-round win even with Brown on the sidelines for most of the second half, but his one catch, which went for 29 yards, exemplified the downfield dimension he brings to Tampa Bay's passing game. His established rapport with Tom Brady could certainly pay dividends versus Green Bay, although the air attack could be challenged to thrive in what are expected to be frigid conditions.
JANUARY 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Noteworthy catch in playoff win Miller brought in one of two targets for 29 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-20 divisional-round win over the Saints on Sunday.
Impact Miller played his usual abbreviated role in the victory, but his one catch served as the Buccaneers' longest gain from scrimmage during the contest. The second-year speedster could be set for an elevated role in Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the Packers if Antonio Brown (knee) is limited or forced to sit out.
JANUARY 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Two touches from scrimmage in win Miller secured his only target for 15 yards and rushed once for eight yards in the Buccaneers' 31-23 wild-card win over Washington on Saturday night.
Impact The speedy wideout was once again a bit player in the offense despite Tom Brady throwing for 381 yards, marking his third consecutive one-catch effort dating back to Week 16. Miller will continue to be a hit-or-miss option in next Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the Saints, as the top trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown figure to continue commanding the majority of Brady's attention.
JANUARY 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Minor role despite Evans exit Miller brought in one of three targets for 12 yards in the Buccaneers' 44-27 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact The second-year speedster once again played a minor role, despite Mike Evans exiting the contest in the first quarter with a knee injury. Miller did enjoy a much healthier and productive campaign than his 2019 rookie season, setting new career highs in receptions (33), receiving yards (501) and touchdowns (three) while playing all 16 games. However, a bulk of his production came over the first seven contests of the season, a span during which he posted a 22-365-2 line. Miller could be in line for an elevated role in Saturday night's wild-card matchup against Washington should Evans be unable to suit up, but given he had such an uneventful second half of the season, it will be difficult to rely on a breakout.
