FEBRUARY 16 • POST-GAZETTE.COM
Quiet in Super Bowl win Miller rushed once for minus-3 yards and did not draw a target during the Buccaneers' 31-9 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
Impact The speedy wideout logged 12 snaps from scrimmage, but he was somewhat surprisingly uninvolved in the air attack. However, Miller made a solid Year 2 leap during the regular season in the form of a 33-501-3 line over 480 offensive plays, and he followed it up with four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown over the Buccaneers' first three postseason games. Looking ahead to 2021, Miller could be poised for a full-time No. 3 role at minimum, considering both Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown are ticketed for free agency.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Notches key score in big win Miller brought in two of three targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 31-26 win over the Packers in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
Impact The speedster was expected to fill an elevated role to a degree in the absence of Antonio Brown (knee), and Miller looked very much like his injured teammate during his Steelers heyday on a 39-yard scoring grab off a go route late in the first half. Miller made chunk plays his signature throughout his second season, with seven of his 33 catches going for more than 20 yards and his one reception during a divisional-round victory against the Saints resulting in a 29-yard gain. Despite Sunday's heroics, Miller could well be back to his No. 4 wideout role in Super Bowl LV if Brown is able to return for that Feb. 7 contest.
JANUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Chance for expanded role Miller is one of the Buccaneers' secondary receivers that stands to benefit from the absence of Antonio Brown (knee) for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Packers, Jenna L...
Impact Miller took a big step forward in his second season, posting a 33-501-3 line (53 targets) across 16 games, with seven of his receptions going for more than 20 yards. Miller logged just eight snaps from scrimmage against the Saints in Sunday's divisional-round win even with Brown on the sidelines for most of the second half, but his one catch, which went for 29 yards, exemplified the downfield dimension he brings to Tampa Bay's passing game. His established rapport with Tom Brady could certainly pay dividends versus Green Bay, although the air attack could be challenged to thrive in what are expected to be frigid conditions.
JANUARY 23 • ROTOWIRE
Noteworthy catch in playoff win Miller brought in one of two targets for 29 yards in the Buccaneers' 30-20 divisional-round win over the Saints on Sunday.
Impact Miller played his usual abbreviated role in the victory, but his one catch served as the Buccaneers' longest gain from scrimmage during the contest. The second-year speedster could be set for an elevated role in Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus the Packers if Antonio Brown (knee) is limited or forced to sit out.
JANUARY 18 • ROTOWIRE
Two touches from scrimmage in win Miller secured his only target for 15 yards and rushed once for eight yards in the Buccaneers' 31-23 wild-card win over Washington on Saturday night.
Impact The speedy wideout was once again a bit player in the offense despite Tom Brady throwing for 381 yards, marking his third consecutive one-catch effort dating back to Week 16. Miller will continue to be a hit-or-miss option in next Sunday's divisional-round matchup versus the Saints, as the top trio of Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown figure to continue commanding the majority of Brady's attention.
JANUARY 10 • ROTOWIRE
Minor role despite Evans exit Miller brought in one of three targets for 12 yards in the Buccaneers' 44-27 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact The second-year speedster once again played a minor role, despite Mike Evans exiting the contest in the first quarter with a knee injury. Miller did enjoy a much healthier and productive campaign than his 2019 rookie season, setting new career highs in receptions (33), receiving yards (501) and touchdowns (three) while playing all 16 games. However, a bulk of his production came over the first seven contests of the season, a span during which he posted a 22-365-2 line. Miller could be in line for an elevated role in Saturday night's wild-card matchup against Washington should Evans be unable to suit up, but given he had such an uneventful second half of the season, it will be difficult to rely on a breakout.
JANUARY 4 • ROTOWIRE
Minimal production in win Miller brought in one of two targets for seven yards in the Buccaneers' 47-7 win over the Lions on Saturday.
Impact Miller didn't partake in the fun that several of his other offensive teammates enjoyed in the big win, as he wasn't a priority Saturday when Tom Brady dropped back to pass. The second-year speedster has zero or one catch in six of his last seven games, with his only fantasy-relevant accomplishment of note during that span a 48-yard touchdown grab in Week 14 versus the Vikings. That said, Miller may have a chance to make a bigger impact during a Week 17 contest against the Falcons in which some of the Buccaneers' complementary players may be featured more than usual.
DECEMBER 27, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Trio of grabs in win Miller secured all three targets for 20 yards in the Buccaneers' 31-27 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Impact The speedy reserve receiver showed up on the stat sheet for the second straight week, although Sunday's serviceable output didn't have anywhere near the fantasy flair of Miller's 48-yard touchdown grab that constituted his Week 14 contribution. The Bowling Green product remains firmly near the bottom of the wideout depth chart on the talent-rich Bucs, so even his occasional spikes in production aren't enough to make him a desirable option outside of very deep formats.
DECEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Vikings' miscues have them on outside of playoffs, again Five wins in six weeks had put the Minnesota Vikings into playoff position after their 1-5 start
DECEMBER 14, 2020 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Brings in long TD in win Miller secured one of two targets for a 48-yard touchdown in the Buccaneers' 26-14 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Impact The second-year speedster's score was his first since Week 7 and erased a 6-0 deficit for the Buccaneers, giving them a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Miller's standing in the air attack had significantly diminished since shortly after the arrival of Antonio Brown, and he'd logged just 34 combined snaps from scrimmage over the previous three games. All of his production Sunday came on one big play and minimal targets, making him hard to trust despite the favorable matchup against the Falcons in Week 15.
DECEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Fantasy slide continues Miller failed to bring in his only target in the Buccaneers' 27-24 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Impact He continued to find action hard to come by in Sunday's loss, which marked his fourth straight game with one or zero catches. Miller logged just 10 snaps overall, and his modest level of involvement isn't likely to increase coming out of the Bucs' Week 13 bye as long as the top three members of the receiving corps remain healthy.
NOVEMBER 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Not targeted in loss Miller didn't receive a target in Monday's 27-24 loss to the Rams.
Impact Miller logged just 15 snaps on offense as he continues to fall out of favor in the Buccaneers' offense following the signing of Antonio Brown. Over three games with Brown on board, Miller has caught just two passes for 14 yards on four targets. The 23-year-old had some splash games before Brown entered the picture, so fantasy managers should keep him in mind in case off-field issues affect Brown's availability this season.
NOVEMBER 24, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited to one grab in win Miller brought in his only target for four yards in the Buccaneers' 46-23 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Impact With the receiving corps at full health, Miller understandably struggled to garner Tom Brady's attention in the blowout win. The second-year speedster now has just two receptions for 14 yards on four targets in the two games he's played since Antonio Brown usurped him for the No. 3 wideout role, a worrisome sign for Miller's fantasy prospects moving forward.
NOVEMBER 15, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Ready for Sunday Miller (hip/groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Carolina, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Impact The 23-year-old was limited at practice the first two days of the week, but he put in a full session Friday to avoid the questionable tag. Miller played a season-low 19 offensive snaps last week against the Saints and figures to see similar usage while Chris Godwin, Mike Evans and Antonio Brown remain healthy.
NOVEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Logs limited showing Thursday Miller (hip/groin) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
Impact Miller has been a regular presence on Buccaneers injury reports this season, but he's still managed to suit up for all nine games. Unfortunately for Miller, he took a back seat to Antonio Brown in the veteran's debut with the team this past Sunday versus the Saints, accounting for one catch (on three targets) for 10 yards on a 38-percent share of the offensive snaps. Miller may have irregular opportunities moving forward if Tampa Bay's receiving corps remains healthy.
NOVEMBER 12, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in practice Wednesday Miller (hip/groin) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Impact Miller also dealt with hip and groin issues last week, but he was able to suit up for Sunday night's loss to the Saints without issue. He should be good to go in Carolina, but with Antonio Brown now a factor in Tampa Bay's receiving corps, Miller has essentially been relegated to No. 4 WR duties.
NOVEMBER 11, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Minimal role in defeat Miller secured one of three targets for 10 yards in the Buccaneers' 38-3 loss to the Saints on Sunday night.
Impact Miller was one of multiple Bucs players to turn in lackluster fantasy performances in the lopsided loss. The speedster essentially worked as the No. 4 wideout with Antonio Brown active for his first game with the team, and the extent of Miller's workload Sunday could be more or less par for the course on many weeks moving forward as long as Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Brown remain healthy in front of him.
NOVEMBER 9, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared for Week 9 Miller (hip/groin) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Saints, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The Buccaneers cleared Miller for the Week 9 matchup after he was able to practice fully Friday. The second-year wideout has drawn 15 targets between the past two games, but he'll likely take a back seat in the passing game over the second half of the season with Antonio Brown set to make his team debut Sunday. Brown could be on a limited snap count against the Saints, but once he gets fully familiar with the Bucs' offensive system, he should be a fixture in three-receiver sets with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, leaving Miller as the fourth option on the depth chart.
NOVEMBER 6, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Gets in limited practice Miller (hip/groin) was listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice.
Impact Miller was also limited in Wednesday's session, so as long as he's able to practice again in some capacity Friday, he should be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Saints. However, after drawing a combined 15 targets over the Buccaneers' past two contests, Miller is a prime candidate to see his role in the passing game tail off in the second half of the season. Seven-time Pro Bowler Antonio Brown is slated to make his team debut Sunday, while Chris Godwin (finger) could also make his return from a one-game absence.
NOVEMBER 5, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited at Wednesday's practice Miller (hip/groin) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Carmen Vitali of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact On his second month of tending to hip and groin issues, Miller still is churning out at least limited showings at practice and hasn't missed a game this season. With Chris Godwin's status up in the air due to a fractured finger and Antonio Brown set to make his Bucs debut this weekend, it'll be interesting to see what kind of role Miller can expect moving forward. For the season, Miller has posted a whopping 10.5 yards per target, so even if his reps are sporadic he has a chance to produce from week to week.
NOVEMBER 4, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Garners 42 total yards in win Miller secured three of six targets for 35 yards and rushed once for seven yards in the Buccaneers' 25-23 win over the Giants on Monday night.
Impact He somewhat surprisingly played a secondary role with Chris Godwin (finger) out and Antonio Brown (suspension) not yet available. checking in third in targets and receptions behind Mike Evans and Jaydon Mickens. Miller did log a solid 53 snaps (76.0 percent), trailing only Evans among Tampa Bay's wideouts. Miller was coming off a 109-yard tally versus the Raiders in Week 7, and the downturn could foretell the overall hit that may be in store beginning Week 9 when Brown's expected debut projects to knock him down a notch on the depth chart.
NOVEMBER 3, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Gets green light The Buccaneers have cleared Miller (hip/groin) to play in Monday's game against the Giants.
Impact Miller practiced in full Saturday following consecutive days of limited participation. He seems to have avoided any setbacks and is now set to take the field Monday. With Chris Godwin (finger) ruled out, Miller and Tyler Johnson figure to see plenty of snaps alongside Mike Evans at receiver.
OCTOBER 31, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited participant again Miller (hip/groin) was a limited practice participant Friday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Miller has been banged up for most of the season but still hasn't missed a game. He had season highs for targets, catches and yards last week, also scoring his second TD of the year in a blowout win over the Raiders. Miller should have a significant role Monday night against the Giants, as fellow wide receiver Chris Godwin (finger) isn't expected to play.
OCTOBER 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Gets 'limited' tag Thursday Miller (hip/groin) was limited at Thursday's practice.
Impact Miller has been dealing with hip and groin injuries for more than a month, but he's still managed to play in each of the Buccaneers' last four games. The results have been inconsistent, but he's combined for 12 receptions (on 18 targets) for 198 yards and two touchdowns during that span. With Chris Godwin expected to be sidelined Monday against the Giants, Miller has a great chance to produce opposite Mike Evans before Antonio Brown likely joins the active roster next week following an eight-game suspension to begin the season.
