INJURIES

Possible Week 1 snaps boost Miller could be one of the primary beneficiaries if Mike Evans (hamstring) is forced to miss the Week 1 divisional clash against the Saints, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times repo...
Impact Miller is listed as Chris Godwin's backup on the first edition of the unofficial depth chart, but given his elite speed and his stellar training camp, it's likely Miller would at least modestly out-snap Justin Watson as the No. 3 receiver most weeks if the pass-catching corps is at full health. However, if Evans, who appears headed for a game-time decision, does sit Sunday's opener out, Watson is likelier to start, but Miller could certainly benefit in the form of an overall boost in snaps.

Likely primary third receiver Miller, who consistently impressed throughout training camp, is listed alongside Justin Watson as the primary backups to starting receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Scott Smith...
Impact Who officially serves as the No. 3 receiver is difficult to ascertain before the games begin, and it's possible Miller and Watson often rotate the role. However, given Miller's elite speed and instant chemistry with Tom Brady this summer, it isn't difficult to imagine he could see a greater share of snaps than Watson, who also had a solid camp but didn't quite match Miller's performances.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Constantly making plays Miller has been able to keep up his early-camp momentum by regularly making plays in practices, and he hauled in a 55-yard bomb from Tom Brady in Friday's scrimmage at Raymond Jame...
Impact The second-year speedster's name seemingly comes up in every training camp wrap-up, as Miller has quickly developed an impressive rapport with Brady and has been able to make plays on a number of different routes and depths of target. That was on display again in Friday's scrimmage, with Miller recording a 20-yard grab in the earlier portion of the simulated game and then subsequently bringing in the deep throw on a post route later in the session. The 23-year-old may have already locked in the No. 3 receiver role, as Tyler Johnson (undisclosed) has simply been too beset by injury and Justin Watson, while also making his share of plays, hasn't quite been on the same level as Miller.
AUGUST 30, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Wowing in early practices Miller's speed and hands have already stood out over multiple training camp practices, Carmen Vitali of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact The second-year wideout is in the thick of the No. 3 receiver job battle with the likes of Justin Watson and rookie fifth-round pick Tyler Johnson, and he's making a strong early case for himself. Vitali noted Miller caught a perfect pass from Tom Brady in stride and also exploded up the field after taking a lateral from the legendary quarterback in Friday's practice. Meanwhile, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports Miller -- as opposed to other Buccaneers pass-catching luminaries such as Mike Evans, Chris Godwin or Rob Gronkowski -- was the recipient of Brady's first pass against the defense in the opening padded practice of camp Monday, with the two connecting on a deep throw. The competition for the third wideout job will likely last through training camp in the absence of preseason games, but Miller appears to be delivering an early message he'll be a force to be reckoned with.
AUGUST 17, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Bulks up this offseason Miller put on 10 pounds of muscle this offseason and "looks great" according to coach Bruce Arians, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Impact The speedster could use the bulk in order to better withstand the rigors of the NFL, especially after playing his rookie season at approximately 175 pounds. Miller is though to be a leading contender for the No. 3 receiver job after generating a 13-200-1 line in 2019, and his 4.3 speed would make him much more than a prototypical shifty slot wideout that gets by with short-area quickness. A bit of extra size could make Miller even more effective if it doesn't slow him down, but he'll have to hold off promising fifth-round rookie Tyler Johnson for the role.
AUGUST 10, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Leading candidate for No. 3 role? Miller may be the favorite to open the season in the No. 3 receiver role, Scott Smith and Carmen Vitali of the team's official website report.
Impact Both Smith and Vitali cite Miller's experience edge in the offense as the reason why he's likelier than fifth-round pick Tyler Johnson to open the regular season directly under Chris Godwin and Mike Evans on the depth chart. In an offseason devoid of on-field work until late July, it's reasonable to assume Johnson will be somewhat behind the curve in terms of mastering coach Bruce Arians' offense, likely postponing his potential ascension into the third receiver role until later in the season. Miller's 4.3 speed also makes him an X-factor, and both reporters point out it was Breshad Perriman's impressive wheels that kept him in the No. 3 role last season despite his questionable hands.
